hip hop is never fake in my opinion. it's hard to explain what i mean. but if you're doing what you do, and its in the hip hop genre, to you it's real.

i hate soulja boy, but he's a real rapper, he does what he does, accepts his criticism but still does what he wants to do.

everyone who raps is real hip hop. mainstream is real hip hop, underground is real hip hop.
