With the streets buzzing about The Lox not recording for Interscope Records, SOHH.com caught up with D-Block President/CEO Supa Mario to discuss the possibility of working with 50 Cent and Jay-Z.
Since Jadakiss and Styles P have revealed that they won't be recording for Interscope anymore, reports have been spreading that 50 is interested in working with Jada as a solo artist. The G-Unit honcho also mentioned this when he hosted BET's "Rap City" yesterday (November 8).
Meanwhile, some insiders have even gone as far as saying that the G-Unit/D-Block feud was orchestrated to sign Jadakiss to G-Unit. But as far as D-Block is concerned, working with 50 is out of the question.
"Fuck 50," Supa Mario told SOHH.com. "We can't trust him. [Interscope chairman] Jimmy [Iovine] is a business man. 50 is a mad black-woman knock-off of Jimmy."
Meanwhile, word is Hov has expressed interest in signing the Yonkers trio to Def Jam. Though talks are still in the early stages, the camp hopes to join the family soon.
"Hopefully we will be with Jay soon," said Supa. "We respect his talents and his business. We want that to work."
During their hiatus from the mic, Styles and Jada plan to work on developing D-Block as a company. The imprint just released Sheek Louch's After Taxes yesterday and is now plotting J-Hood's debut set.
Sheek Louch's After Taxes is in stores now.
