I personally always thought Jay was VASTLY overrated, and if you listen to Biggie as much as I do it's obvious where Jay get's 70% of his "inspiration". He didn't even try to hide it. Different beat, different subject, different tone, and suddenly Jay is the best rapper alive using lyrics that he could have never dreamed of putting together. When it comes to NYC heavyweights it's Nas all day.

You know I used to look up to Jay, thought after watching that video I’m convinced he a fake! I understand the biggy thing cuz jay and biggy were friend’s and some of the line’s I just put down to pure homage thought you can really see how he take’s lines where someone would say "play" and change it to "jay"

word. Theres a huge diffrence between bitin and paying homage. If jigga bit lines he would do it from underground artists cos whos gunna know?
