Yo 5 of those mother fuckers are dead, so how are they evidence that hip-hop isn't?

Cassidy's latest album was whack

Papoose was never good imo. He just saturated the streets with his bull shit

Hell Rell... come on now... no one in dipset was talented

Beanie Sigel ain't bad, but when's the last time he dropped an album, or even a single that could be
called a success?

Wu Tang broke up like 39 yrs ago and half their members are dead

The Game is a whiny little bitch

Lupe Fiasco is retiring

Styles P is the most overrated underrated guy in the game

Jadakiss got overall owned by 50

J-Hood is ok

KRS ONE is old as hell and on his last album just talked about how people should make positive music... lame

Immortal Technique overrated as HELL

D-Block is ok I guess...

You can't really say Hip Hop is still alive with music and artists who aren't really there anymore or don't do much stuff anymore.

Ever since Game and 50 beefed thats all he talks about. He wines in his songs. I'm tired of it. Dude is slightly above average at best. Cassidy is ok, but he fell off since his earlier shit. Papoose really has a style that isn't for everyone and it isn't for me. Plenty of people think he's nice, but I don't vibe with him at all. I've been around diplomat fans for years and early Cam shit was cool, now they're garbage. Santana was always garbage. Jim Jones is a glorified hype man with too much time. Hell Rell is probably the best out of them but he's just coming up on average. And JR Writer is ass. Styles is mad underrated, but he is NOT the hardest out, the illest alive, the best in the game or anything like that. All that shit belongs to Nas hence the reason I left him off the list. Jadakiss and 50 went back and forth, Jada had the overall best track, 50's attacks had overall more effect. I don't care if Immortal sold 100,000. Wayne sold a million in one week. That doesn't mean shit. He's overrated, long winded, and too self righteous with his shit. He's probably the best of the guys I responded too and he's real sure, but he's not the type of guy I'd bring up when talking about hip-hop is still alive. I'd bring up Common before him. D-Block is ok, but again, not worth mentioning. Best guy is Styles, Styles ain't THAT great.

The guys I didn't speak on are guys that are dead or I agree with. And there are a lot of artists out there that embody real hip-hop in the mainstream, I just don't feel like your list was anywhere near a fair representation.

Cass fell off for ah minute ..... he's back though .... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YwyhlY46w3w ..... Reeccenntt with Mook .... that was hot .... Game Stepped Up .... He's ah beast with diss track's ... & his songs is hella nice, superman, my life, more too ..... all of D Block is fire ..... Styles is harder then Nas... maybe not better ... but he's harder ... Jadakiss killleedd 50 .... Lyrically .... that's what i'm going on .... i'll get you some nice santana songs lol ... same with the rest of dip .... maybe its not all nice .... i agree there .... but they can make good songs ..... immortal IS underrated ,,, 30,000 ... he can't be overated ... record sales don't mean nothing, i know .... but you can't say ah dude nice as him selling 30 thou is overrated ...... Again, D block is crazy ..... it got some of that 90's type of shit ... 100 % nice

I listened to that Cass track and you're right. It was pretty nice. I've heard some nice dip songs, but I just can't bring myself to call them evidence of living hip-hop in the mainstream. And Styles is harder than Nas, I'll give you that one. And I like the guy, and I kinda like D-Block. I just don't know if I'd say they're ill ya feel me? Game has some hot tracks, I just get sick of hearing him spit 50's name like he was sucking on his birth certificate every other track lol. We'll just have to agree to disagree on some shit. Big ups homie
