Illmatic and Stillmatic are his best by a long long long LONG shot. He's tight. More of a poet than a rapper. One thing I don't like is that he doesn't clearly define his views. In one song he's talking about all this deep shit and denouncing materialistic nonsense, and in the next song he's talking about rims and bitches. Gets annoying. But he's a top 10 rapper (all time) most def.

Word up to James. Nas is a genius, lyrical and technical ('One Mic' > life). But yeah, I been always laughing at the fact that one song he's all about ghettos and racism, next song he's about wearing Gucci & Prada and bitches - wow.

I started listening to Nas from 'Stillmatic' which is a masterpiece imo and is in my top 5 albums of all time.

And no way he's boring. 'You Can Hate Me Now' ft Diddy.. it's killin me every time. :y:

Personally, I've tried listening to him every year since I was about 16 and 5 years later, he's still boring. Not that I don't like some of his songs but I just can't get through a whole album of his. Maybe in a few more years haha.

Like Chet said, he is a brilliant poet. Illmatic to me, is the best hip hop album ever made. You gotta really listen to his songs to like him, or else you will think he's just boring.

I have never really ever felt Nas' music that much.

And your name is One Mic, damn sad story.

One of the most boring rappers I've ever heard.
One of my best friends is fucking hooked on Nas, and he's bumping him everytime, so I've heard my fair share of Nas tunes, but there's only one song I find decent, and that's "One Mic".
He's not good in my opinion.

Here comes the hate! :boxing:
