He's life got cut short before he could make a sub par album.

Well if you do it that way then I'll vote for 2Pac.
2Pacalypse Now - Straight political raw 2Pac (not a classic but it is an underrated album)
Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z. - More political but 2Pac here is becoming more hardcore/gangsta but it remains in its roots as a good album
Me Against The World - Classic. My favorite album of all time. I just love the emotion put into it, I actually feel 2Pac's struggle and lyrically this is one of his best.
All Eyez On Me - Commercial hit but it is still a classic in its own way. Contains some really hot tracks apart from some filler.
The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory - An angry and raw Pac. A classic as well, this album is very dark-themed and I love it.
For me its 3 classics and 2 good solid albums. I guess I might be slightly biased towards 2Pac but I can't help it either. If not then it would have to be Jay-Z I guess, Nas just has somein his catalogue.

Classics
Marshall Mathers LP
Slim Shady LP
The Eminem Show
Relapse 2 (prediction)
Good Solid Albums
Infinite
Encore (including the bonus tracks!)
Relapse
Relapse Refill (prediction)
Ok Albums
Eminem Presents The Re-Up (if it had more of his own songs, would be in good solid albums)
8 Mile Soundtrack (same as above)
Crap
None. (he's that good)
Other
not only is he the best rapper alive (imo) but he's also the most famous. everyone has heard of eminem. even non rap fans have eminem on their playlists, he's the only rapper on their playlists. people who HATE rap, normally have one or two eminem songs (usually stan) i know this from personal experience. (my friends) no other white person has ever been as famous as eminem for rapping. he took on a predominately black music genre, and came out on top. his flow is insane, and his breathing control is amazing, no other rapper can match it. he stopped rapping for a good few years, and then released an album about drugs, which reached number one in almost every country. (itunes) eminem is the best rapper ever. IMO! < in MY opinion.
hmm, i'm aware i've gone off topic .. peace.
call me stan if you like, but i'm actually not a stan.

Wu-Tang - Enter The 36 Chambers
Rakim - The 18th Letter
Big L - Lifestylez Ov Da Poor & Dangerous
2Pac - Me Against The World

First 3 prime material, last 3 are pretty solid. And DMX > Jay-Z any day of the week.

Never really got into DMX much. Any tracks you would recommend?
