Big L Work Ethic

He's one of my fav rappers technically of all time and his 1995 album Lifestyles of the Poor and Dangerous was raw as fuck and contained many amazing cuts. When I listened to that album I got goosebumps coz it was almost a premonition of what was to come: for example when he was talking about how the streets were calling him and how he tried to leave them alone. The album was cohesive imo and a great first drop. Four years later and Big L was dead and the only other album to come up post-humously was The Big Picture, containing only a dozen or so tracks, some weak but some particularly strong like the well known "Ebonics". The Big Picture was not a real album tho and freestyles of L's were added to it along with unreleased tracks while producers contributed to most of it well after Big L's passing. So only 1 legititmate album from this potential great from 1995-1999 and my question is: does anyone know why his work-rate/pace was so slow ?

he was prob working on his Flamboyant record company, and Jay-Z was just about to sign him so he would have got to work

i cant get over how young he must have been when he recorded his first (amazing)album, probably about 19 or 20 and it came out that good? Thats quite unbelievable: and I guess its a fact that most of that album was real talk
