Jake One
J Dilla
Madlib
Alchemist
J Dilla
DJ Premier
Just Blaze
J Dilla
Ant
Rick Rubin
RZA
Pete Rock

Can't forget J Dilla. I mostly like these guys because they'll always put out a smooth, polished beat. Dre messes up the bass often it seems. Definitely, definitely. J Dilla and Madlib are super dope beat makers.

DJ Premier = Dopest loops you'll ever hear in hip hop from this legend right here...

RZA = Without him, no Wu-Tang. Piano loops and strings just make bliss to my ears.

Pete Rock = Master of sampling and at the turnable without a doubt...

The Bomb Squad = How the hell do they make random noises sound dope as fuck?

Dr. Dre = One of the founders of that G-Funk sound... still brings heat when he wants to...

Havoc = Check out "Hell on Earth" beats: crazy sampling and head-rocking beats.

Q-Tip = Smooth jazz instrumentals will never do you wrong, right?

1. Rza - No producer will come close to doing what he did between '93-'97, when Rza came along with the Wu EVERY producer stepped up their game! ( check Primo's beats before Rza came along and compare them to the ones he did after ) The dude has even produced soundtracks for movies

2. Pete Rock - Love his sound, very laid back, he's one of the greatest for T.R.O.Y alone

3. Dj Premier - Has the man ever made a bad beat? Not that ive herad anyway, any rapper sounds good on a Primo beat, only downside for me is he never changes his style, but I suppose if it aint broke dont fix it :y:

4. Madlib - Best producer of the past 10 years hands down! The amount of stuff this dude has produced in a decade is unbelievable, ''Madvillainy'' and the ''The Unseen'' are 2 of the best produced albums of the 00's, and ''The Beat Konducta Vol.5'' is one of the best instrumental albums ever!

5. Dr Dre - Yeah he fell off, but their was a time when anything Dre touched turned to gold, The Chronic, Doggystyle. and 2001 are just amazingly produced, add other albums he done like N.W.A's albums and the D.O.C's debut, he's easily in my top 5!

I really don't know many producers and unless beats are utterly original and distinctive, I usually don't look them up. I'm more of a lyrics man, the beat is usually just the backdrop for me.

Producers which I love which I'm aware of though...

DJ Premier, obviously. If only for Illmatic and Gang Starr alone.

Eminem - His beats stand-out as the most distinctive to me. "The Way I Am" - "Lose Yourself" - "Cleanin' Out My Closet" these just sound like classic melodies that jam themselves in your head. But they also feel rich and textured.

OutKast - I know they work with a production team on each album but always oversee (as far as I know?) the production of their stuff. And also self-produce. Not sure how much is self-produced but 'OutKast brand' beats if I could use that term, are class. Feel very energized and fresh. And crisp.

Alchemist is also a very good producer. Other than that... I don't know any really lol.

Premier's work on Illmatic was only average in comparison to his general quality level, IMO. Peep his work on The Sun Rises in the East and Reasonable Doubt. One of his hottest beats, without a doubt are on those two classics. But he got too many dope instrumentals to briefly discuss. :y:

Word up. :worship:

I might stand alone, but I personally feel that RZA's beats on Ironman was superior to both Only Built 4 Cuban Linx... and Liquid Swords. Perhaps even better than Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). But as a complete record, it's not the best album from the Wu. :-k

Its too tough for me to pick my favorite album produced by Rza, I think Liquid Swords might be his best (4 chamber :worship: ) but it depends on my mood

Ironman has some of Rzas best work ( soul controller is probably his best beat ever ) so I cant disagree with ya there, and then you have Tical, Return to the 36 chambers, Wu tang forever, Enter the Wu, O.b.4.c.l, his work on 6 Feet Deep, its just too hard too choose!

Yeah Ghost wasnt great on Ironman, for me his best shit is on Cuban Linx, but Rae on Ironman was a beast!

RZA is a genius.
