5 clasic albums

Postby Edge » Jan 22nd, '10, 01:16

whats your top 5 albums ever?

mine would have to be

1) Eminem Show- got me into rap, no filler tracks

2) Marshal Mathers LP- clasic songs like Stan and The Way I Am and Kim have such emotion

3) Get Rich or Die Trying- cant get any more gangsta than this... sick beats/flow/hooks and his lyrics r tight too

4) Ready to Die- in my opinion is way ahead of its time... overall good mix of songs and beats

5) Illmatic- need i say more?
be the best you can be, and if thats not good enough for people... than fuck em

Actually there're just a few albums that i can listen from start to finish, these are some of them, Cheers should also make this list

BTW Cheers was more like an Eminem / Shady Records album than Obie Trices one lol

Hip Hop wise?

1.) Eminem - MMLP - Album was just amazing by all standard's. It legitimized the genre and made it okay for people of all race to be on the mainstream scene. It was a Social and Political Phenomonon.

2.) Jay Z - Reasonable Doubt - This man made mainstream rap actually fun to listen too. THe guy is so versitile and brings out all his talents in the album

3.) NWA - Straight Outta Compton - The pioneers of this rap shit. If it wasn't for these guy's putting out this album we prolly wouldn't be having this conversation right now

4.) Biggie - Ready To Die - Sadly Biggie got what he asked for. But atleast he put out one of the dopest hip hop albums ever.

5.) The Infamous - Mobb Deep - Put Grimey shit ON THE MAP..These guys had the best beat's and the best flow of anyone. Too bad that day is gone =/
she takes me on a journey, to a place called hell,
she showed where she stays, she show me where she dwells,
theres an errie saddness, commin from the room,
its as if its a funeral, but were all doomed,
death all around, but i feel more comfort,
blood rained skies, you could say im covered,
the feelin from her, is like no other
dont wanna say it, but the demon i love her

Don't believe me, ask Michael
See Martin, see Malcolm
You see Biggie, see Pac, see success and its outcome
See Jesus, see Judas; see Caesar, see Brutus
See success is like suicide
Suicide, it's a suicide

1. Enter The Wu (36 Chambers) - I find absolutely No Faults in this album at all. Straight classic.
2. The Infamous - Deadly production and amazing lyrics and street tales on here. Cop it now.
3. Illmatic - Amazing album from an AMAZING lyricist, always listenin to this whenever i need some street shit (these first 3 are what you NEED)
4. Ready To Die - If you haven't heard biggie, you need to cop this. The lyrics and storytelling dope as fuck and the niigga flows like your girlfriend on her PMS.. amazing shit.. Listen to Juicy, you'll see my point.
5.Soul On Ice - Ras Kass has made arguably the most lyrical album, with tracks for every mood, and the production is dope imo, but people dont really like it, so it might be a turnoffto you.
