Question from someone new...

Postby Glennadoyle » Jan 22nd, '10, 02:34

Hey.
I'm new to writing on this forum although I have been viewing for sometime mainly to try find some new "relapse2" news.not much luck there.ha.
Anyway I am huge em fan but not crazy about rap mainly because I just hear the mainstream stuff that doesn't interest me.
From reading this forum though I have heard a few other names that em fans like to listen to.I have since gotten the slaughterhouse album and Royce da 5' 9".I've really liked these.

So was just tryin to find out what else is good that's not too mainstream please.just to keep me tickin over til relapse 2.

Thanks.

Erm...

> Charles Hamilton - The Pink Lavalamp
> Kanye West - College Dropout, Late Registration, Graduation
> Kid Cudi - Man on the Moon - The End of Day
> Mos Def - Black on Both Sides, The Ecstatic
> Nas - Illmatic, Stillmatic, God's Son, Hip-Hop is Dead, Untitled
> Obie Trice - Cheers, Second Round's on Me
> OutKast - Aquemini, Stankonia, Speakerboxx / The Love Below (double)
> Proof - Searching for Jerry Garcia
> Redman - Malpractice, Red Gone Wild (Thee Album)

I know you said not mainstream and most of those guys are in the mainstream. Especially like Kanye West. But all the albums there have substance and are decent.

I assume you just don't want simple bravdado, bang-bang, cheesy shit etc.

Especially check Proof's album though. Pure classic.
