Nas & Damian Marley - As We Enter

Postby EminemBase » Jan 26th, '10, 19:25

Wow, first I've heard this.

This track and "Strong Will Continue" I just love immediately.

It's rare that I hear stuff that I love instantly. I'm sensing a classic with this album...

Listen Here...

I think they've hit on a real magic mix of music and lyricism and I think these two play off each other amazingly.

Couldn't agree more. As We Enter is just crazy. The way they feed of each other is class.

Distant Relatives is now my most anticapted album of 2010 now, after hearing those two tracks. :smoking:

^ Really? More anticipated than R2?

I'd say it's my 2nd most.

It sounds like it'll be intelligent and refreshing. Not to mention fresh, musically.

But we know the entire album will be them spitting pro-black, anti-establishment lyricism. Which is fine but that just isn't as exciting as what Em may come up with to me.

And the lyrical zone he's in now and the flows he's coming out with.

I'm also looking more forward to Distant Relatives then R2. Mainly because everything I've heard of off Distant Relatives is awesome (btw if you haven't allready, chek out "Africa Must Wake Up" on youtube), and I haven't heard a single thing from R2. And I'm not going to belive anything of what anyone is saying about it before I've heard some proof.

I'm super excited for R2 but after hearing the two tracks its just got me really pumped today. Whether that'll change in the next few days is a different matter.

I'm certainly anticapting and am exicted about what style and stuff Em goes with. With Just Blaze on board, I reckon we will get a sound we havent heard before, which is great.

Well that's pretty silly considering Em sounds very different every new album and they've already said Relapse 2 is totally different to the first one.

Said that he's going for songs and not one liners, he's supposedly dropped all 'accents' and is trying to make the perfect record.

Totally different aim / content now. So surely it's sensible to reserve judgement until you actually hear the material as the first one apparently is no indication to the 2nd now.

Not that I'm agreeing the 1st one was bad anyway, I love it but that's besides the point. Point is, whether you love or hate the 1st one, this 2nd one is supposedly very different anyway.
