Joell Ortiz's Free Agent Pushed Back

Postby lil_bayly » Jan 27th, '10, 22:32

Just when March 2010 was shaping up to be a great month in Hip Hop with a slew of releases coming from Drake, Big Boi, Royce Da 5'9, amongst others, the Hip Hop scene gets some disappointing news that Joell Ortiz's upcoming album Free Agent has been pushed back.

As previously reported by DS, Free Agent was scheduled for a March 23rd release. It has been pushed back due to the fact Joell "need to cut some new shit."

Free Agent will feature guest appearances from Akon, Brother Ali, Bun B, Styles P, Sheek Louch, Raekwon, Talib Kweili and Maino, among others. Production will be handled by Red Spyda, DJ Khalil, Lil Fame, DJ Premier, MoSS, Nottz, and several others.

As of press time there is no set release date

No biggie, it's still coming out, that's important.

Dude is hungry as hell, he writes a lot.

My favorite verses are mostly Ortiz's and Budden's on SH tracks.

Crooked spazzed out on that album as well, Royce was fluctuating, so was Budden on that album.
But Crooked and Joell shined on that album, and Joe and Royce did their thing, but they did not really deliver their A game through out the whole album.

But that was the whole concept, they deliberately took a step back on some tracks so the other could go all out, that's why the group is functioning great. Slaughterhouse is a machine.
