He's great. he has several deep songs. A great character too, brilliant role model, I have nothing but respect for this man.

I don't think anyone can really dislike him. Cracks me up in Fresh Prince.

As a rapper, he's average but is unoffensive and has a few catchy songs.

I don't know how anyone can truly dislike Will Smith overall. I agree with the poster who said that before me.

Always thought Will doesn't get the respect he deserves in rap, especially when we're talking about the DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince era. I mean, he's never been a lyrical genius by any stretch but neither are a lot of other people. I think most of it now is that it's become "cool" to say that Will Smith sucks as a rapper. Most of the people who say it don't even know what the fuck they're talking about but they think it makes them smart or knowledgeable to say it. I consider him legitimately better than a handful of cock-suckers who are considered "cool."

He's The DJ I'm The Rapper = Classic shit. I hope him and Jazzy drop another official DJ & Prince album at some point.

I'm also not afraid to say that I was obsessed with the Big Willie Style album when I was a kid. It's mainstream/commercial/poppy as fuck but no more than plenty of other rappers. The only real difference is no profanity and family-friendly nature.

But Will Smith don't gotta cuss in his raps to sell records.................................
Caution to the wind, complete freedom. Look at these rappers, how I treat 'em, so why the fuck would I join 'em when I beat 'em?

Once I did know all the words, I was shocked to learn that he was rapping about getting it on with a 12 year old girl. And people say he wasn't edgy enough
