Sara Bareilles returns this week with her second Epic album, Kaleidoscope Heart, the follow-up to her 2007 Gold-certified Little Voice and its hit, Grammy-nominated single, “Love Song.” Based on first-day reports from those retailers who haven’t fled to Vermont to start a bed-and-breakfast, Bareilles’ sophomore release will be the week’s top debut at 80-90k, which will put it in direct competition with Eminem’s Recovery for the #1 spot on next Tuesday’s HITS Top 50 Album sales chart.

I didnt think Recovery would log anymore weeks at #1. Amazing if he get's it. It would be a few more weeks before he would have a chance again to get it because Linkin Park is coming and they will for sure sell more there opening week. I guess Em would have the chance the following week if no album that was going to do 80K or more came out.

Recovery is a beast. I think if this were 8 years ago, it could go diamond fairly easily. Definetely should go 3x platinum. I think by the end of the year it'll have sold about 3.5 million in the U.S.

well if it doesn't sell good this week then by next week it will def be at 2.5 mill

the VMAs, Entourage is on Sunday night + NYC shows --> quite a boost for the following week, I think he can push another week over 100k after all those exposures, which makes Recovery around 2.6 millions or more after 13 weeks

I just read that carter 3 sold 2.88 millions at year end and it was released in June too, Recovery should easily pass that at year end imo
