Yo Em had 313k in his 2nd week, and Taylor not selling too much more than that.

Recovery will be the highest seller this year.

and he still selling 35-40k....damn!!! :worship: he'll be 3x platinum in 3 week :D

US

This week the divide of 958,000 between the top two albums is the largest gap between those two positions since the June 15, 2002, chart. That's when Eminem's "The Eminem Show" moved 1.3 million in its second week at No. 1, while the Diddy-driven compilation "We Invented the Remix" was No. 2 with 117,000—a margin of 1.2 million.

I think Lady Gaga is in the lead by about 170k ahead of Recovery in 2nd. Christmas sales might help put Recovery 1st.

Recovering needs to average at least 32,000 units/week over The Fame over the next 10 weeks in order to have the best selling album of 2010 worldwide. For what it's worth, the last 5 weeks it has outsold The Fame by 86k, 84k, 77k, 72k and 63k. Each week that it outsells The Fame by a 50k+ margin leads to a decrease in the average needed to end up on top by the final week of the year.

Also, as I've said before, Recovery will experience a much better lift during Christmas than The Fame, simply because the Fame had it's initial Christmas push last year, while this will be Recovery's first go around during the month of December.

ugh what's with people making fun of Taylor's sale? she has a typical drop because she opened huge, this is completely expected & normal. The bigger you open, the higher drop you'll have next week, this really say nothing much about longevity. I remember Carter 3 opened with 1 million and dropped to above 200k in second week.

btw she sold 1.149.000 copies WW first week, thank god ppl don't listen to country outside US

So the question about Who will have the best selling album in the US is done and dusted........
its eminem for sure

what are his chances of best selling in the world....how behind is he from gaga

(Taylor swift had so much hype......1 mill due to hype...all the songs from her album on hot 100 at time or another due to hype......i am thinking had it been good what could have happened.......she blew it)

wow no. Taylor's drop is normal for 2nd week. 65% drop is actually a good drop considering she did over 1 million last week. I was expecting a 70% drop. She's still a clear threat for best-selling of the year.

Love The Way You Lie Pt.2 may give Recovery a (slight) boost to be honest. Plus he said there is going to be another single off Recovery, so if that is a success, expect a slight boost because of that too.

And don't forget the collabs with Nicki Minaj, Lloyd Banks, Travis Barker, T.I, Obie Trice (+ plenty of other rumoured ones inc Kanye West) will be good for it too.

She would do 1.4 million approx in 2 weeks
Em will do about 3.2 by the end of year

so taylor has to sell 1.8 million in 8 weeks.......average is 225k

so is doing 360k in second.......how can she average 225k

your predictions are always right but..........

^ well I'm just saying that there's no "sure" for this yet, she still has a chance. And country albums rise like crazy during holiday, average 225k is really not a surprising number (hope she can't do it though)

If there is an album that will outsell Recovery in 2010...then it won't be Taylor Swift's.

She may even come close, but she won't beat Recovery. (IMO)

Susan Boyle is probably more of a threat, but this is her 2nd album and maybe the hype has died down after she appeared on 'Britain's Got Talent' ?

Her second album 'The Gift' is released on November 8th.

Her debut album has sold almost 10 million copies worldwide (in just under a year)
