Ok, so I haven't earned the right to embed things yet, apparently, but did anyone else see Nate's recent tweet where someone asks him about when Kim said that she has to force the kids to see Em, and if that's still the case, and he replied, "that wasn't true. she lies." Damnnn... Didn't expect him to go straight for the jugular like that. And not "she lied" either, but "she lies" as in "she's a liar." Oh snap...

I didn't see that tweet, but judging by the only interview I've read of Nate (published around late 2010/2011), he doesn't seem to be too fond of her. However, he can't exactly be called impartial. It's his big brother, of course he would protect and "side with" him. Also, drugged-out Eminem between 2006/2007 won't have been amongst the nominiees for Father of the Year award. I could imagine that the girls weren't always too happy to visit him around that time.

That's none of our business anyhow, even if there is tension. I wouldn't look too much into past tense/present tense either. It could be a typing error.

Yeah he doesn't sound too fond of her (like most of Em's fam).

Of course he's not too fond of her. Wasn't his fight with Kim Em's excuse to leave her anyway?
Anyway, he did gave an interview where he said they're all in peace. And the question is beyond stupid, they asked him if it was still true, that's why he said 'she lies'.

The story I heard about why Em left was because Kim flipped out that Nate came downstairs at Lainey's sleepover, wasted, and acted inappropriately. And I guess Em just got sort of overwhelmed and had to get away because he couldn't handle himself or trust himself not to do something crazy.

Anyway, yeah... I'm sure it wasn't just flat-out made up at all. But I feel like there was some exaggeration/manipulation going on on the part of Kim. Like maybe to HER it was a "screw that asshole" type situation, but I'm sure to her kids-- especially Hailie-- it was much more complicated and difficult than that. I'm sure they still craved his approval, and were confused and still loved him. I don't think they would have started to believe he was a deadbeat yet or anything like that. Also, it's definitely not completely true that Hailie had nothing left with Em, as was evidenced by the person who called in to say that she saw Em and Hailie at some game, a couple weeks prior, and they were joking around and taking pictures of each other and whatnot. Okay, so that doesn't mean their relationship was peachy, but it DOES mean that they still HAD a relationship, which was not what Kim was claiming. So I do think that she was embellishing, in an effort to make Em irrelevant, but I also don't think she was flat-out lying. To be fair.

Also, did anyone think it was slightly odd that, when she was talking about when Hailie "constantly asks 'why's Dad acting so weird?'" she said that she replies, "I don't know, honey" or something? Like, she knew exactly what the fuck was going on. Why didn't she explain it, and try to make her dad seem like less of a villain, maybe? Tell her that he was an addict and that he loved her but just can't show it right now, and to try to be there for him? That right there reeked of custody battle manipulation bs to me. My parents certainly don't get along a lot of the time (though they're still together), but I was always encouraged by BOTH of them, to have patience and compassion and understanding for the other parent, and to try to see where they were coming from, no matter how much it seemed like THEY hated each other. And I was always grateful for that. Kim doesn't seem to value her daughter's relationship with her father, and that irks me.

You can't assess people's relationship from rumor, speculation or a song they made or interview they have when they were angry/bitter. You'd have to know them and see the good times and the bad. Everyone has their side to a story and the truth usually gets lost in there somewhere. There all pretty private now. Good for them.

I feel you guys on all that, I wasn't trying to really analyze their relationship. I was more trying to reconcile the fact that Kim probably didn't outright lie with the fact that Nate considered it a lie. Both can be true, in that Kim didn't tell the whole story (which, she probably didn't-- she was mad and whatnot), and Nate considered that "lying." Of course, Nate's gonna be biased, but then again so would anyone's brother. But yeah, millions of sides to the same story... I just think they all have their valid points. But it's cool, I'm over it now. lol
