I was honestly suprised that Em didn't say Beautiful was his favorite track on the album. Like, ew that his favorite song off the SSLP was "Just The Two of Us", and his favorite off Recovery was "You're Never Over" (I don't know about the rest lol). Those are sorta self-explanatory, they represent some of the stuff that means the most to him in life, his daughter and Proof. I would think that "Beautiful" would be...
Well, then again, it would remind him of that dark time, maybe he doesn't like to listen to it. I guess, as I said, it's the amount of effort he put into the writing of those two songs, and how they turned out. You can tell how much effort he put into those two especially.

Funny he deleted it, he probably didn't want to be quoted in dumb little girls' tumblrs, or something, but... it's not really surprising though, aside from the fact that they're related, he has spent lots of time around Em, and has spent most of his life INTENTIONALLY emulating Em. So it probably was inevitable.

There's nothing wrong with it. But there's something wrong with it on Relapse.

And to have that new body of work with incredible flows and that new style and that bombast... and, intricate writing, and just have the most predictable and everyday Em track be the favourite, meh. I feel people just love anything that is introspective, all the time.

But irrespective, it's the fact it doesn't fit the album. Stylistically / sonically.

Em is a technician, he put that track on there to appease fans who like his predictable self-loathing material. His favourite tracks are two of the most well-written and amazing.

He likes his tracks that are lyrical or creative. "Beautiful" is neither.

Not everyone is gonna like what another person might it's pretty child like to get bugged by a song that someone else likes even based on how that is most peoples fave song from the album anyway and viewed as the best or a classic song on the album by most too. You gotta be insecure to be bugged out about another persons opinion on their fave track of an album.

Em put Beautiful on Relapse because he felt like he needed something to show the contrast between his sober material and what he had been making while he was high, and Beautiful was the only song from that time period that he felt was good enough to make the cut and didn't depress the hell out of him.

You don't know this you are just assuming something you don't know just based on your own taste of music Eminem has never said that himself so you can't pretend he has. Also i can show you an interview where Eminem talks about how much he enjoys songs you strangley consider as 'self loathing' an inteview that is a decade old. Also you saying it is not well written is just your opinion not a fact others who like it will have the opinion that it is a great song and written extremley well
