That depends on whether or not MusiCharts.net would consider the sales week of 12/27/10 through 1/2/11 as part of the 2010 sales.
If you are to consider part of the first week of 2011 towards the 2010 sales, then the same should be done for the previous year. In this case, The Fame-Monster's first week of sales for 2010 was actually 1/4/10 through 1/10/10, as the sales week of 12/28/09 through 1/3/10 would be applied towards her 2009 sales.
In this case, The Fame-Monster's total WW sales for 2010 would actually be... 5,885,700.
Assuming Recovery can manage to sell over 70,000 units for the week of 12/27/10 through 1/2/11, it's total would be over 6.3 million WW.
Either way, Recovery has outsold The Fame-Monster. If you do not apply 12/27/10 through 1/2/11 towards the 2010 sales (which would mean applying 12/28/09 through 1/3/10 towards The Fame-Monster's 2010 sales, a week in which Gaga sold 248,400 units), it has still outsold The Fame-Monster by almost 100,000 units in 2010.
Any way you look at it, Recovery has now surpassed The Fame-Monster for the best selling album Worldwide in 2010!
