Recovery for me was an album with which he wanted to show he is still there after the Repalse thing (Can we say Flop?) .
MMLP2 blows lyrical everything away he released the last 5 years , but why it sold not so much ?!
Maybe because the Albums sales are lower than 2010?(Sportify etc)
This is maybe one reason, but i think MMLP2 is for his old hardcorefans which he is trying to re-enable ,not the corefans who heared LTWYL on the radio and said "man i need this album " or visited the rihanna concert .
Ok we had the Monster , but it is a joke compared to LTWYL from sales view. The magic was gone after the first work together.LTYL has a story which connect a lot of people .
And the others?
part 2 to was ok single potential? ,
numb was shit ( Em verse was average ) ,
and the monster was a good song (a lot better than LTWYL) but without so much hype .
..
..
one other reason:
Maybe Eminems is not cool enough , i know maybe 4 People in my friendcircle in Germany who celebrate Em like me .(Funny, those are just my best friends ^^)
Maybe are guys like Drake ,Lil Wayne more actractive for the young kids.
I hope u know what i mean , it is very hard to explain in english for me ^^
The thing he messed up with, imo, is singles.
The Rihanna collabo thing worked wonders for him in 2010, not really because he worked with a huge pop diva, but the topic domestic violence was interesting enough and Rihanna just had a high-profiled domestic violence case the year before. Everything suits well. But it should not be repeated. I donnot know you guys, but I just feel that he somehow centers his new album’s most striking promo around the Rihanna collabo song. The tour…live performances……he garnered hype from it, but not so much respect, to be honest. The album will most likely end up similar to Relapse, 300k higher than Relapse maybe, that’s it. Also JT, Coldplay, even Drake refuse to feat a pop diva in their songs from their latest albums, why Em still doing this? Is he sure Monster could gain sale for his album??
