My first ever attemped at producing a Hip-Hop beat. I've always been more into the rock side of music when it comes to creating, so this is interesting for me to try and transition into. Let me know what you think

sounds more like Silly Strings cause it got a real funky live vibe going on

Bahahaha-Silly strings . I noticed that about the kick too, It sounds good when I was making it, through my good headphones. As soon as I played it on anything else it was super weak.

This is interesting. I could totally see myself flowing over this beat. Nice and simple yet feels very full.

First of all, this is a great first hip hop beat As the others said, the kick needs to be harder/louder. I used to make beats with by Dr.Dre headphones on but then was told by Ashez(Best producer on this forum imo) that to make it using speakers. So i suggest you do that. Another thing is that maybe you could make the bass louder (if its in here) to make it sound more full and add like a brass or synth hit during the verse to add some more variation. Anyway great start
