[BumShiv] - Reverie (Hip Hop)

New beat, sampled Adrian Younge's Reverie, you might recognize the beginning of the original from "Heaven" by Jay Z, who also sampled that track. Hit me with any feedback, all feedback is appreciated and drop your links so i could return the feed, thanks!

Dude, this was actually really fun to listen to. I've always dug your minimalistic style.

You've also really improved your mixing tbh.

Damn, I like this! Got that gritty feel to it, really old school. It's crying out for someone to rip it to shreds. Also enjoyed the beat change in the middle, keeps things interesting.

What programme do you use? I really like the drums man, was that a loop or did you create them?

Thanks dude, I use FL, I didn't do anything to the drums, they're part of the sample, didn't really want it to bang cause i wanted more of a chill vibe

I like the hardcore vibe this is giving off. I suggest adding a long reverb to the clap/snare to give it that hollow feeling and to fill up more of the beat. The change up at 1:41 is great, you could possibly have the sample pitched up an octave there though (i think you did something similar at 330). I would suggest more mixing on the kick and drum to fix the interference. Some distortion on the bass might do the trick.
