Finally got a Writing corner set up!

@ spyder I know, its different for everyone, I like writing with a notebook better than anything else and I think the desk and such will help me focus a little more I tend to get distracted a lot!

It's a lot easier if you just type shit up on your Ipod or whatever, but there's nothing like pen and paper once in a while, it's fucking magical.

When I was at school I'd write, but you should use whatever is in reach.

If you can't sleep and you have some dope lines in your head, switch on your laptop or whatever and type those fuckers up and go back to sleep.

You know, technology has made our lives easier.

Recently I think of the best stuff on the train so I use my portable a lot during then.
In the past few weeks it's worked.

It saves me having to type the pen and paper shit up on the computer so I can post lyrics you know, it's pretty tedious typing that shit up.
I put the lyrics on a computer monitor in the studio in front of the microphone and the lyrics are enlarged with a bigger font, so that's the only reason I type really, to get that shit digitized.

I can't read small writing on paper well is all, also, my writing is pretty bad, lol.

But whatever really, happy writing guys.

Looks great man. I mean, I always write on my PC (or cell phone) but I know how it is when little things add to the ambient, and thus to your creativity. I only copy the lyrics to a paper when I need to use my mic stand i.e. when I record, but it's not really the same as when you write them on it directly.

@ Menzo, thanks! I have realllllyyyy bad handwriting (most of my teachers cant read it) but i like the notebook a lot! and I can read it which is all that matters haha.

Lol Menzo that is awesome!!! I do it a bit differently than you, I plan all my big multi syllable rhymes and find things that rhyme with them, then I write and try to throw in some inner rhymes and such in there! I am going to post one of my papers in a minute, It is very messy and dis organized but it works!

All of my writing is done on the computer on yahoo email. And I usually only take tops two or three hours per verse. Then let it sit for a week or so and come back to see if anything needs to be rearranged. The only full songish thing I've written was "Apocolypse" recently. I just thought of a scheme and went with it, and there's no scribbled thoughts like on you guys paper haha. I feel like I'm not doing enough when I see all the thoughts you guys put down on paper.

Hahaha I know, I may just make the switch soon. It's much easier to grab a little piece of paper and scribble some thoughts down than to try to remember them.

@ Blu & Geno hahah I hate thinking of lines in the shower cause I forget them, I freestyle a lot in the shower too, thats actually where I get most of my freestyle practice in although I dont rhyme much of anything besides clock toilet and frame hahaha! I suck at freestyling but whatever still working at it!! BTW I am going to have a piece up pretty soon where I sort of attempted a story telling track, however I will admit its not the greatest but I worked on it! It will be up soon so check it out!!! =)

You guys writing really need to start recording when you feel you're writing quality material.

You don't have to post it, but recording your music is the next step. However, doing it well can be difficult sometimes. It almost seems like writing it is the easy part when you get to focusing on your breathing, intonation, and all other aspects of your delivery. Not to mention the actual mixing...

I'm just saying, if we had CW people that were recording, we'd have an active audio stage...which hasn't really happened since before my time, as far as I know.
