Genos way is better though I don't see the need for coherency category.
Covering a song you need the same scheme, otherwise its a remix.
Keeping the rhyme scheme makes it harder.

Silver, sometimes.... I.... Wonder.... About.....

Bro re read my comment lol
I agreed with you.

I was saying the coherency is a basic fundamental part of any track.
So it shouldn't need a category. Its like having a category for using English.
Its just an assumed thing.

Last round we had a flow of narrative, because it was a story telling track. So it made sense that that was the main voting category.

I'd put it like this

5 how close to original rhyme scheme.
3 flow (does it flow as well as original)
3 topic ( can different from original content)
2 multies and rhyming
1 vocab
1 wow factor

Word.

You can add rhymes as long as you keep the same syllable count, flow and schemes.
You won't have to emulate every word.

Example. "I never sleep, cause sleep is the cousin of death"
I could say: I struggle for breath, as a knife punctures my chest.

Same end scheme, but added multies.
Since topic matter can change

But as I did say.... be as creative as you want, just use an official instrumental. I don't care what you write about/rhyme schemes you use/bla bla bla, just use an official instrumental!

That's literally nothing different than the last round. What if we wrote to an official instrumental last round? It'd be the same thing lol.

How about this? In my personal opinion, I think it'd make for a way more intense finale. We don't want to just write another random verse. At least with this, it'll be a challenge, as a final round should be. It should portray who's the most skilled duo, and how well they are at creatively writing a rap verse.

Round 3: 32 Bars. Emulate / Parody a song. Pick a fairly well known song and change the lyrics to a verse of your choice. Be as creative as possible and wow the judges.

[5] Creativity
[3] Coherency (do the new words / rhymes make sense? Is the story coherent? Do they stay on topic?)
[3] Chemistry
[3] Comparative Rhymes (how well do the new rhymes line up with the original rhymes?)
[2] Complexity
[1] Flow
[1] Wow Factor (Who's verse wowed you the most?)

I think this would be more fun. I don't understand how solely writing aimlessly on a known beat would be a good finale.

That's it. I'm officially retarded.

I had this idea of using an official beat and kinda playing off the original song with it, but using your own creativity. I just didn't explain it/map it out very well when I tried to lol.

I'll change the voting parameters and tweak the category a bit. Check back here soon.

ROUND THREE (FINALS)*

Round three is the FINALS. Write a 32 bar verse (16 bars each roughly) spinning off the concept of the original song you picked the beat too. This means you can use the rhyme schemes in the original song to play off of as well as the concept. Be creative, but remember to play off of the original concept! May the best verse win. Deadline to get your verses into me is: Wednesday, February 20.

ROUND 3 VOTING SHEET: Remix That Bitch
[5] HOLY-SHIT-BATMAN!-IT'S-CREATIVITY!!! (The whole point of this round is to be as creative as possible. So the biggest category goes to the fucking assholes who are most creative. Kthx)
[4] Spin That Shit (How well did they spin off the concept of the original song?)
[3] Flow
[3] Chemistry (How well did they work together?)
[3] Rhyming/Multis
[2] Complexity (How complex were the thoughts/rhyme schemes?)
[1] Rhyming/Multis APPLIED (Did they use new rhymes for the same schemes on the old song? If so, who did it better?)
[1] Vocabulary (Word choice and lexicon)

The following send your verse to ME:
Geno/Menzo
Spyder/Just SIlver

Didn't we agree flow was unnecessary since were mocking the flow of the original track.

And keeping the same scheme along with similar topic, is basically the same song.
Just slightly different words

I thought this was what you two wanted lol

I'll tweak it some more.

edit: I take that back. It's good as it is. The Fiasco Emulation games proved not everyone can even keep the flow of the original song... Plus you don't even need to. Be creative, but just play on the concept, expand the song, do whatever. You don't even NEED to do the applied rhyme schemes if you're confident in the other categories, seeing as how it's only one point. You can expand the rhyme schemes used by using them, but not necessarily in the places in the original song. It's not an emulation; it's a spin-off and an expansion.

I think it's a perfectly fair category for the Finals. Plus it'll bring forth two awesome verses.

Geno wrote:I still think Rhyming / Multies should be removed because it can essentially only be as good as the original verse.

If it's an Eminem song vs a Jay-Z song, the people who did the Eminem song (if they emulate accurately) will automatically get Rhyming / Multies for 2 points, despite how well the other team did at their verse. Seems kinda unfair.

You know? That's why I removed it in the thing I whipped up.

Other than that I guess it looks fine.

Those were just examples yo. You can use ANY official song you want. And I'll fix the rhyming points and shit...

I understand lol

Which is why I'm not stressing you emulate the rhyme schemes, but rather the concept and be creative with your own schemes.
