Vocals Are Low After Mixdown

Vocals Are Low After Mixdown

Postby SajN » Feb 27th, '12, 15:54

I use Adobe Audition 3.

Whenever I record, mix it and finalize it, I go to Export and Mixdown, then save the track as MP3.
When I play the new track, my recorded vocals are always lower than what it was in Adobe Audition.

Today I tried to mixdown as WAV, thought maybe that will help, but it didn't.

How can I fix it? :(

I don't know anything about Adobe Audition 3, but maybe try boosting your vocals a little bit before you bounce the track then maybe it'll level out? I'm sure there's an easier way to get past this problem, I'm just more familiar with Pro Tools.

Yeah, that's what I usually do, but it's kinda irritating to do.

Sorry, I have limited experience with AA, but have you checked the settings on the rendering area? Maybe you are using the wrong bit depth?
Maybe you are using too much CPU and it's glitching the audio?
Have you considered getting a new sound card and computer?

Maybe your version of AA is corrupt?
Update it?

I hope I helped a little bit.
Maybe you should try Pro Tools instead.
I know it's overrated, but it's a quality program.

yeah, you must have some settings wrong, or are bouncing something different.

make sure there is no after effects selected when you are exporting so you can export/bounce the mix you are actually listening to... or maybe, you are listening to a pre-tape mix for some reason and thats not what you export. it can be anything of that or what mdemaz said.

about getting pro tools, you dont really need it yourself, stick with this programs

Seems like I actually fixed it. I don't know how, but after a while I changed a littlebit of the settings in the exporting process, I am not sure that's the reason I worked, but it did :D
Thanks for your guys' input!

Now my song sounds banging! Word yo
