Putting a pattern of words on a beat that fit the rhythm.

heres how i see it

how well you end on the snare or clap.

if you end exactly as it hits, thats a good flow
and the faster you can say the lyrics and still end on that snare, that a great flow

thats what i think anyhow

so in your opinion slow flows suck ? lmao nah man, rakim got the smoothest flow in the world and its not fast.

its the rythm you put your vocals across, yes you need to hit a part of the beat, but bein silent and missing the snare can be a dope flow if you miss it correctly.

no i didnt say that, i just sad a fast flow would be harder so there for i thought it would be better in terms of ending on the snare

i know rakim got a great flow, and BIG and all that. they slow but end on the beat nice

but if you dont end on the snare... how can you flow it?

i think that's completely off...you can easily flow to a beat and never end the rhymes on the snare...

this is what I think of flowing... creating a rhythm without changing the speed too much (some great rappers can speed up their flow mid verse and still keep rhythm; perfect example would be Tech N9ne on My World and Eminem on Drop the World)

well if you dont end on the snare, then how exactly do you "ride the beat"
i was told riding the beat is ending on the snare.

and you just switched up the scheme from whatever you get from the beat

srry im new to audio

flowing is me......i am flowing

its not something you "learn"...its something you feel....and many new people won't "Feel" it until the develop a flow and their own style....theres not one set way to flow...its just what the beat tells you to do......and until you learn how to connect with the beat...your not really gonna understand.....

Flowing is flowing..there can be multiple "flows" to the same beat..

Ex: "6 Minutes of Death"
Cass, Fab and Wayne all flow differently but its the same beat..also Forever is a prime example..

So flow is all about how YOU hear the instrumental and what particular part stands out to you..for some its the snare of others is the melody..

And Spyder you dont have to end on the snare..if you got multis in every line that match up you can put the first word of the multi on the snare and get the same result..the snare is just what stands out the most to a lot of people so they fit their verse around that and its the easiest way to catch the beat, kinda like a metronome..the melody sometimes switches up mid song but the snare usually stays the same for the whole track..

My opinion of Flowing is a blend of delivery, lyrics, and being on beat...

If your delivery matches the tempo of the beat and the lyrics are fitting perfectly with the beat and sound well went their all put together then that is flow..

It does not mean the bar has to end on the snare though
she takes me on a journey, to a place called hell,
she showed where she stays, she show me where she dwells,
theres an errie saddness, commin from the room,
its as if its a funeral, but were all doomed,
death all around, but i feel more comfort,
blood rained skies, you could say im covered,
the feelin from her, is like no other
dont wanna say it, but the demon i love her
