Hey everyone. My name is John but I'm an experienced forumer and I know I'm just my username unless I stay here awhile and establish myself, which is fine.

I really have no background in hip-hop/rap music knowledge. All my life I've been into rock and metal. I got into Eminem a little when I was a younger teen, but not much. And I rediscovered the passionate music of Slim Shady recently. I know a few rappers and besides Eminem I like Immortal Technique and a fairly unknown rapper called DZK. But generally I'm sort of new to the rap world and don't know how much I'll get into of it, but Eminem taught me to try new things. I realized what an amazing lyricist he is just hearing all of his songs.

Anyway, I'm a month away from being 18. I go to a community college because I quit high school and got a GED, and I'm a very political person and consider myself an intellectual. Despite that I'm very open and not pretentious at all, but I'll let you all judge me by my posts.
