From what I remember the only way is to go into media player options and turn off hardware acceleration ( more information Here ) but you can get software that takes screenshots and plays videos. Can't think of any off the top of my head but will post a few links when I get back later today ...

yeah i get the same problem when i want to do it and it would be mad if someone told us how to do it.
