Well I've been fasting for 2 or 3 years now & it is hard but you don't just have to refrain from eating, you also have to refrain from fighting, cursing etc.

Main points of fasting is to feel how the prophets and imams felt when they were in war wid the enemies and had no food or water to drink and in this year of time..its when most of the imams died fighting for ther religion and families trying to make a better world for the future altho the enemies were assholes and were too much so the imams got killed <<<thats one reason of fasting now reason two: muslims fast to feel how lucky they are to have food and goods and also so that they can remember ther religion and past and not curse or fight others or annoy others...being a muslim is a tough job but its pride and one of the most religions that helps you through life (no offense to other religions) being a muslim helps you if youre married for example alotta ppl wid no religions and stuff are in misery cause they go ahead and screw others for example desperate housewifes and stuff so yea this month is the month of religion im not a religious guy but this info i know of my parents and such

Am not muslim but have friends who are fasting.
