what he meant to be strict on some occasions in a way that reflects him being firm
im quite sure there's nothin like that
coz in islam .. a woman can get divorced if she cant stand living with her husband
its not like old christianity..

well in a way to be strict and NOT beat her..
and to show u that islam do respect women
they can get divorced if they cant stand their husbands...
so how come beating is allowed
what HE Meant is being strict and not like BEAT HER
there are examples from the prophet's life..that showed respect even if problems existed

well when u speak of a person respected by more than one billion people
then u have to address him with some respect
how can he marry an 8 years old? its impossible
back in the days it was an honor to marry a woman from a famous tribe/family etc...
so they used to make arranged marriages
like "my son will marry ur daughter"
so since she was from a great family.. she was known to be taken since a young age
so that no other men could propose to her
but the ACTUAL marriage didnt occur until she was old enough
she was just known 2 be the prophet's future wife..

plus just keep it in mind that was 1400 years ago
back then a man could be mature enough for marriage by the age of 11-13!!

so whoever u are .. just mention prophet mohamed with some respect !!
