I've had the same thing happen with me where shit sounds way slower than it should. Good to know it's not just me.

Hopefully someone can shed some light on this mystery :y:

It usually goes away by the time I listen to the song/songs again. Then again I've never left headphones playing into my head for 13 hours xD

Had the same problem with Hello off of Relapse. I had been listening to it for hours on repeat while running, then it sounded like my mp3 player was broken, but the rest of the album seemed fine. Dunno..

This happens to me a lot when I go to the gym.

Whenever I seem to workout, even at only a moderate level, and I have my ipod in the songs seem
to be going at a slower pace than they usually would.

Maybe its due to a release of something like adrenaline and that in turn makes your senses a bit more aware? I have no idea but luckily you're not the only one this has happened to :y:

I remember sometimes hearing a song after a lot of previous listens and feelin' it different, Even slower than before.
First thing that came in my mind was the attention I paid, that probably was different on diferent ocasions. i'm very used to hard beats.

Slow songs sometimes get "accelerated" on my mind and integrate in my memory faster than they actually are originally played and sung.

But the fact that you talked about playin the stuff for a long time in some mp3 player makes me believe the chance is on some bad effect of continuous use of the devices.

I know I killed some CD players for excessive use. The last one was a hero and lasted 6 years.

That happens to me too when I listen to a song on repeat for a long time. I get used to it so much that it sounds slow or blunted, like you described.
