Auditory Hallucinations of Oasis

Postby EminemBase » Jul 31st, '13, 09:13

It's Wednesday here now... and, I haven't slept properly since Sunday...

I stayed up all Sunday and all of Monday with no sleep, had an hour's sleep Tuesday morning... stayed up all the way again and had 2 hours sleep this morning... I use to thrive and get manic and creative on no sleep, now I feel like everyone else, like a bus hit me.

Anyway, for the past 2 days I have been having fairly distinctive audio hallucinations lmao. It's very weird as it doesn't sound QUITE real.. I can tell it's internal and not external... yet I am singing alongi n my head or can even do so kinda out loud, and it intensifies it... like my brain gets more confident in providing me with that hallucination...

My boss plays a lot of Oasis in work so no wonder I keep hearing them...

It's very weird though, not like the regular 'hearing a song in your head feeling', it sounds almost like I can hear them singing in a field about a mile away, yet as clear as humanely possible. I should sleep properly soon for I die yo, had some weird fainty / heart moments.

im sleep doe

When I was young we had this Christmas ornament in the house that sang this little song. I swear I could hear that thing singing all night one night but I was the only one to hear it. I could hear the lyrics, the beat, everything. It was driving me crazy...still remember it to this day. Never had an experience like that again, but every now and then I get a high-pitched ringing in one of my ears that lasts a few seconds before disappearing. Maybe all those years of blasting music through my headphones are catching up with my body, haha.

My friend had to stay up 48 hours straight for training while in the military. Don't know how he did it, haha. He said they were all tripping by the end of it.

Most sleep deprived I've ever been was 3 hours sleep in a 72 hour period.

I was fueled by caffeine and adrenaline on the best holiday of my life.

Really? I used to regularly stay awake like 2-5 days lmao.

But I used to just get manic and love it... would feel sharper and crazy and high and creative, especially on like day 2... day 3 is a drag but then it peaks (day 4) in to like a 'okay now you've gone too far' zone where you feel like blurrily disconnected from reality and like a wizard of thoughts yo.

Well I do anyway. Not crazy doh. Promise :smoking:

Something similar happened to me like two weeks back where I had like 2 hours of sleep before work and ended up working for like 12 hours. Got back, took a nap for like 3 hours than stayed up like another 9 hours, the moment I closed my eyes I had some pretty weird sensations. It felt like insects were crawling on me, and I can't remember anymore at the moment other than picturing a giant centipede slithering all over me, ugh.

A couple years ago this happened to me... I was trying to memorize "sharp dressed man" for some reason and I kept hearing it in like full sound like I had my iPod with me. The funny thing was, because I didn't know all the words at the beginning, it would just keep repeating the same two sentences.

Lol. I understand this. I used to fight off sleep just to stay awake but now appreciate a good rest :flutter:

Mostly because I get really psychotic when I don't sleep ......
