Pay(ed) for my own vehicle. Funny though, cause neither of my parents or siblings/family have ever had almost a brand new car. I worked my ass off for it too. As it took damn near half my income. Not the smartest thing to do at the time I did it..But, I guess when you want something bad enough... You'll figure how to make it work.

And I'm definitely not a student either. I would agree majority of highschool/college kids have help. I never even had a car back then. lol. I understand your point though. But I think most of us here are older, though.

Okay so about 3 days ago I blew a driveshaft which rattled around and smashed a hole in my gearbox...
This pissed me of so bad I thought I would fix everything at once this time.
So a couple days ago i threw out the whole engine and gearbox in one piece, took everything from the old engine I wanted for my new 2.3 litre race engine and placed them there. Then i got another gearbox, took out the differential out of the broken one and placed it in the new one. Then put everything together and place it in the car.

Now I got a bigger engine with forged pistons and rods, lighter flywheel, race cams and some other shit.

Happy :b:

Lel Silver. Everyone pretends they never were helped with a penny? All we're saying is that we payed for our own car with our own, earned by working, money. Does that make us self righteous douches?

Yes lol

Cmon no one helped with plates, excise tax? Insurance? Driving school?

I mean if it's true all u guys are extremely hard workers
Which is nice I just know no matter what job I get ill definitely need either help or years of saving

Youre absolutely right Silver. Its easy to forget all that.
My parents helped me get my license and my first car. Thats about all. Then of course theyve helped out if I had an issue moneywhise with my car judt as they would with any other scenario.

Everyone's situation is different though, which makes it hard to make general statements like those and believe it always applies.

I wish my parents helped me with that stuff too. Unfortunately, I didn't even get my license 'til after I moved out/away at 21.

The only major problem I see or have is when parents completely spoil their children by paying for 100% of everything and the kids don't even respect it, in the end, and are just typically arrogant assholes anyways.

Just installed the new wheels. wrapped them in 205/40's, unfortunately this is as low as I can drop the ride without putting camber in the rear and rolling my fenders, so i'll probably end up doing that soon, for now here's a pic of the flush fitment.

edit: also my old work xd9's (the white wheels you see in earlier pages of this thread) are now for sale. i'd like $800 for them with brand new tires but message me we can probably work something out. i like trades

What do you mean why so low? I should be lower haha, and this is the stock body kit from the japanese model (toyota bb), nothing aftermarket there.
