Why Ipod?

Postby Hadez » Jul 21st, '08, 11:58

why do people get Ipods/ mp3 players with a massive amount of space? "dude my ipod holds 7,000" songs!!" what good does that do you? you probably won't listen to all 7,000. eventually you get to the point where you're putting songs on it cuz you can. or putting entire albums on it even though you only like 1 or 2 of the songs. is it really worth the money? maybe i'm retarded or something but it doesn't seem worth it to me. spending the extra money for extra memory that you prolly either won't fill up, or will fill up but only listen to a small fraction of the songs.

somebody wanna shed some like on the ipod craze for me?

Agreed, I don;t understand why people would buy the 80gb version.

I used to think the saaame thing till I upgraded from a 1gb to a 4gb. I think it's for the sake of convenience of not having to constantly refresh your playlist every day and just put the major albums you want on there. Some days you might want to listen to Fiddy, some days you'll want to listen to Em, some days you'll want to listen to Fall Out Boy singing about going down town in a luleelurah (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tBeSXKpSq3o) :confusion:

Thats the best explanation I can give.

I wouldn't mind having an iPod. I nearly listen to every track I have on my computer so it would be nice to have 'em all on the iPod.

i have a Zune. it's a 4gb one. it's no where near full. i don't put whole albums. i pick out the songs i like from the albums or just download individual tracks. then once i realize i'm not really listening to a particular song anymore i remove it. and that's what i don't understand. some people don't listen to half the stuff on there (either because they got tired of the songs, they never really liked them, or they would rather listen to another song). and yet they still leave it on there because they can. doesn't that kinda ruin the convenience of it if you have to sift through artists/songs/albums you don't listen to often enough?

^ well i can't tell you there but i know some people put random albums from "big" artists, just to fit in which kinda pisses me off, then they have like the jonas brothers and they say it's their sisters....

well i gotta 80gb ipod :smoking: but really ive used bout 15gb..only reason i could give is that people either have a HUGGGEE variety of taste or that they have other stuff like movies or games on it or the convience factor of not having to be too selective

I have a 2 GB iPod Nano which to me is shit since I can't fit much music. I can only put around 400 songs so it really pisses me off because in my iTunes Library I have lots of music which I haven't listened for a long time or that I haven't really had a chance to listen. Why don't I take off some of my iPod song and put those? Because all the songs I have on my iPod are my favorite... I'm planning to get a better iPod but the thing is I'm not bothered to got to the mall...excuses....

fuck an ipod

i bought a 30 gb mainly to put videos on it. I spent over 500 dollars on it with the case and warranty, but in 6 months time the bitch broke and best buy wouldn't do anything about it..they claimed I broke it..something inside busted in it ...looked like ink i dont know..but i hadn't touched it. anyway, i guess you could say i wasted money on 30 gb's of memory when I constantly delete songs that get old..i bought an mp3 player that holds like 500-1000 songs...i can deal with that..only 80 bucks. :y:
