does any of you participate in the project?

the idea is to let someone from different country sleep at your place, show them your city and so on.. kind of exchange. you let someone sleep at your place, which means saved up money. plus it's a great experience for both of you, meeting up new people from different countries, making friends, learning about different cultures..

i just joined today. i cannot offer anyone sleeping at my couch lol because i simply ain't got a free one at home, but you can also choose the "coffe or a drink" option, which means you meet up a person, take them for a drink, show the city, chat, maybe help up with something, stuff like that.


so i was just interested if anyone participates. if so, got any tips, experiences you'd like to share?

I checked the site, the people seem normal... just people that wanna travel/or accept travels.

it's not like you going to a totally strange person, most people give references to people that hosted them. there's always some risk, but if you keep the minimum security level there's nothing to worry about.

i will never do this because of the following reasons:

1. I already think about suicide everytime i see any member of my family.

2. I already have beef with my shadow so when you see me running in the streets it means Im trying to escape.

3. I hate myself and every living thing.

4. I believe if i live with another family, one of the family members will be sliced open.

it sounds great, unless your really really dumb you aint gonni get no risky characters, but the way it lets people travel the world and expeirence different cultures at a real level and also alot cheaper, by real level i mean, when you visit a country your usually at a hotel or holiday resort in specific areas of the country, you expeirence what they want you to see and get the perception of the country as a "tourist", but with this you actually see the country and the people at a working class level..witch imo would be 100x better lol
