so i just got assigned a roommate, we've talked over facebook a couple times and i swear i dont jump to conclusions bout ppl but this guy comes off as a complete twat. He hates rap, hates drugs and alcohol (granted, the drugs thing is his choice i aint knockin him for tht), he hates seinfeld (the fuck?), and im tryna convicne him to let me turn our room into a studio - which wud only b a 4x4 booth thts soundproof, w a desk for the computer. plus we in the best dorms our college has to offer so the rooms are HUGE. im jus wondering from yall how i shud deal w this guy and wut points of arguments i shud use as to why the studio wont b cumbersome to him, his facebook profile looks like he spends most of his time playing videogames, but he is a computer engineering major n prolly knows how to make websites n shit which wud b useful. make matters worse he's a hardcore republican conservative and im tryna b the Bill Maher of rap yadigs?
they say ur compatibility w ur college roommate is an indication of how much fun u gt out of college, and idk maan i aint lookin forward to spending a whole year w this guy... hav any of yall had an xperince like this?

Try to switch, but if you can't just find other people to hang out with. My freshman roommate was a twat too, I just hung out at other people's cribs... it was fine. Only stumbled back to my room when I was wasted at 3am and was about to crash.

he probably hates hip hop because the only hip hop hes heard is the pop-rap on the radio so bump some jammin nikka tunes and he'll be a hip hop head in no time

and he was probably a sheltered child, hell open up to alcohol in no time i guarantee it. all the kids that were sheltered as kids go crazy in college when they finally get away from the prick ass parents

I had a similar roommate to this. They were completley against alcohol and drugs. After 6 months they were rolling blunts and developed a beer gut. Everyone gives in eventually at least to alcohol
