Encore wasn't that bad. It was his worst, but in no way bad at all. Every album has at least 1 song that somebody doesn't like.

Who knows what he could be doin, dissing celebrities, maybe some accent rhymes over beats not by Dre, perhaps a song about slicin' and dicin' mike tyson, maybe something we've never even imagined before...could be anything, but his last 2 albums are the worst 2 to me, so why think he's going to suddenly hop in a time machine back to his MMLP days

Eminem still makes some of the best rap music today...but he has basically no competition in the mainstream and we all should know that he has been a much better rapper than he seems now. It would be so amazing if his next album impressed me the way his first 3 albums did, I just don't have any reason to say it will do that right now.

I agree entirely. But sometimes with interviews and what they say about the album, you can't help but have certain expectations.Especially when Eminem himself says he's putting his all into it and is trying to make songs that you can/want to replay hundreds of times and is being more emotionally geared. And we know some of his best stuff is his emotional songs. But all I want is enjoyable, non murderous songs, non accented songs and I'll be content.

Here's the difference between the hype surrounding R2 when compared to Relapse. With Relapse, the hype was unreal even though nobody even heard any recent shit from em in years, so he had no recent material to give people the idea it would be the shit.
