I've always been listening 2pac's various songs which have a repeat value...But I still have to say that 2pac is a little bit overrated these days...He is a legend, yes, and there are nice song concepts and everything...But technically and musically I really have to say that Eminem is number one in hip hop... Even in his worst he is better than most of the rappers...

I went through his whole discography, and wow, he is fuckin' amazing. I find myself listening to his shit wayyyy more than Em, too. Just listen to Me Against the World, for me, I don't know how anyone can top that. This dude was way ahead of his time. In the end, I think it depends on what you look for in music. Some dudes will like Em more simply because they relate to him. Some relate to Pac more. I won't go over every single point, because there is no point. But for me, they're tied. If you want hardcore lyrics/punchlines, go listen to Slaughterhouse, but understand that sick rhymes aren't everything.

For me, it's all about if the music is easy on my ears. I don't give a fuck if it's Lady Gaga or Elvis, if my ears like it, I like it. I never understood people who are like "I'M SO HARDCORE, I LISTEN TO UNDERGROUND SHIT YEAAAA, WICKED SHIT". Fuck outta here with that shit. I don't give a fuck how poetic and complex the lyrics are on Relapse, the shit makes my ears bleed.

ALSO, I'd rather take real rappers like Nas, Jay, Big, and Pac over a gimmick like "Slim Shady". Thank god Em showed he had the skills to transform into anything he wanted. He overcame that shit, "applaud em".

Okay, think whatever you like, but why are you on an Eminem forum if you don't even like him? Sounds to me like you don't, especially the "gimmick like Slim Shady" part. If you think that, you probably didn't like him from the beginning, since he's been Slim Shady since 98-99. And Jay a REAL rapper? He's as fake as they come, he fell off since American Gangster. At least Encore, Shady's worst album, was a decent rap album. All Jay does is brag about himself, he gives a shit about no one but money. That's how it is. I like some of Jay's music, but to say he's a more "real" rapper than Eminem is an insult to hip-hop fans, it's like you just slapped hip-hop in the face with that statement. Eminem is more real today than he's ever been, he's rapping about what he wants to rap about, and Relapse is the least mainstream album he's ever made, except We Made You and Beautiful, all the rest of the songs are too explicit for radio. Even 3AM is not proper for radio, really. Relapse slaughters BP3, every song is so much better than Jay's songs on that album, BP3 is weak and a true representation of a rapper who sold out. Nas, Big, and Pac are about the only people close to Em's level, but Jay is nowhere near it, I'm sorry, but that's fact. Get out of this forum if you don't like Eminem, seriously, you're retarded if you stay in here and just bag on him

Tell him :y: Jay Z played the poor guy with his superficially apealing singles. Damn Jay is so real nowadays, underground cats havent got shit on him

Who's better? It will never be determined. Everyone has their own opinion so...
For example, I think Pac is waay overrated.

I'd say Pac has way more mediocre songs than Em, but at the same time, Pac would never make some songs as bad as Em has... he just wouldnt clown like that.

Hey buddy, why don't you try and learn how to read. Do you fools read posts or do you just skim through it?

I said Pac and Eminem are tied as my favorites, so how is that saying I don't like Em? Dumbass.

Secondly, how exactly did Jay fall off since American Gangster? One album ago? So eight albums back to back and a few classics and you can write him off, off of one album you didn't like? What about the 10 other albums you probably havent even gave a listen?

Encore was a disappointment, and so was Relapse. So did Em fall off since 8 Mile? Fuck outta here son. And don't say, "oh well I like Relapse". Oh yeah? Well I like BP3 so shut the hell up then. Did you also see that I said that "some people look for different things in music" or did your eyes glide right past that, too?

And whether you like it or not, "Slim Shady", the alter-ego, and the serial killer alter-ego ARE gimmicks. And I also said Em had the skills to show that he overcame that shit, why do you think he dropped TES?

The fact that you said Jay-Z is more real than Eminem negates any insult you've said to me. I've listened to all of Jay's albums, don't assume I don't know hip-hop, I do. So shut the fuck up. And yes, people do look for different things in music, but to say that Jay is real hip-hop is a ignorant statement. It simply is. You're on an Eminem forum, people are going to kiss Eminem's ass. If you want to kiss Jay's ass, go to a Jay-Z forum. YOU get the fuck out of here. And don't tell me what to say, yes, I like Relapse, I recognize it's not his best album. I am exercising my free will, and for you to tell me what to say or how to think is wrong. And yes, I read your whole post, I didn't just skim through it, and it was lame as fuck to quote Jay, on a track that Em killed him on. It sounded like you just did not like Eminem, the last paragraph made it seem that way, if you don't want to come off that way, then watch what you type. And it may seem like I don't like Jay, I don't have a problem with Jay, but I have a problem with people who blindly follow him and say he's the best, when he's clearly not. I know that Eminem's not the best, he's one of the best, but not the best.

You can't insult me, you really can't. You can try to act tough over the internet, I'll just laugh my ass off. Go to a Jay-Z forum and ride his dick there. You remind me of that LilWayne4Life guy, only it's with Jay-Z. I think Relapse is a better album, you think BP3 is a better album. Take your own fucking advice and leave it at that and let me like what I like. I haven't told you not to like Jay-Z, but I've told you that Jay-Z is not real anymore. You see, I haven't really insulted you at all, I didn't stoop down to your level calling you a dumb ass or anything. It's not that hard, "e-thug"

Enjoy your day

Admins, can I get a name change to JayZ4Life guy? Haha. I'm poking fun at your stannery, not acting hard. How many times did you try and insult me in that one post? (I can't get insulted from someone I don't know, I brush it off). So who is the real e-thug, huh? This is a place to discuss Eminem, not worship him.

By real, I mean he talks about real shit. I'm not dick-riding Jay at all, I just like his music. I never said he was better than Em, either. I didn't tell you what to like, I stated what I LIKED. Really, take a reading class or something. But when you read that, don't hit your monitor, see, that costs money.

"Slim Shady" is a gimmick. Eminem isn't. I said I'd prefer rappers who talk about REAL SHIT, then retarded shit that's just said to cause controversy. That's why I'm not feeling RELAPSE. That's why I say some people look for different things in music.

By the way, that free-will you're using... What am I doing? Do me a favor and don't put a microscope on my post and try to continue arguing, you already got Ether'd (LOLOL A TRACK JAY GOT KILLED ON)

P.S. Get off my dick.

^ You have to admit Jay Z wasnt talking about much on BP3 except how great he is. He ropes in a bunch of features; picks strong singles and videos with popular singers and he's got every1 fooled thinking he is the shit. Well, his skill isnt what it used to be and his hype last year was all smoke and mirrors. IMO, his last 3 albums have been disposable (American Gangster perhaps average at best) and he should have defientely exited the game after The Black Album.

Well if you say something like that then Eminem doing anything but talking about killing people and Biggie just talked about hustlin, and Pac just was angry and yelling over all of his songs, and Nas just talks about Africa and rhymes a lot...

I thought American Gangster was dope, maybe you just aren't able to understand what he says and raps about. I can. BP3 was dope as fuck to me too, he was actually making music that had replay value. Relapse didn't really have too many songs that you could replay over and over again.

Word..but admit it or not...Eminem has attracted listeners worldwide...other rappers like Jay-Z, Nas and infact Pac and Biggie are limited to American Sub-continent...Eminem reached a mass of people through his songs...which Pac and other weren't/aren't able to do....he's a great storyteller, great lyricist, has awesome flow, great rhyming skills, wide subject matter, humorous, dope beats...and most important thing he connects with his listeners...you can feel his songs as soon as you listen them...and they just creep on you slowly...you can't resist..you just want to listen more of him... what else do you need in a great rapper...i ain't saying Jay-Z or Pac aren't great rappers, in fact they are legends...they are as good as Eminem...but somehow their music isn't heard worldwide...Eminem is listened in almost all parts of the worlds..why..?? Because majority of people find Eminem better...they can connect with his songs really quick and that's it...this is the reason Eminem is considered the best rapper alive as well as best rapper ever..!!

And yeah abt Relapse it was a weak album...but you can't judge him by one album..he's been out of music scene for almost 5 years...and still he's back with songs like Underground,Beautiful,Deja Vu, Careful What You Wish For...isn't it great thing..!!
