@Eminembase - I dont want to be continuously updated. I just want some sort of idea as to when this shit will drop. something like " Its lookin like a couple months or so " - just SOMETHING. At this point, we dont know if this shit is dropping soon, or at the end of the year.

Well that's not true at all. He's booked to headline 3 major European festivals in July. First time performing in Europe properly for 5 years.

Do you seriously think he's gonna leave everything about R2 hanging, still not have any idea about it out to us and come all the way to Europe, to headline 3 major festivals to play R1 material? Don't be silly. So that means, he will perform R2 material in July. Live. Which also means the album has to come before that. It also means that the latest it has to come is JUNE. Which means, the latest the single will come is May.

But since he took over Fuse all day today and has the "Drop the World" video coming on March 11th, it looks like promotion will be rolling out this month, with the single most likely April and the album in May.

So if you just look at the information you have, you can work out quite a lot. We by no means have nothing and know for sure the album has to come before July.

If you think that a single will be out by may, and an album by june, because of a concert in europe in july...then you would hear some solid info NOW saying that its done and its coming. Rather than darkness.

For example, eminem sold 600,000 first week with a comeback album and no where near the hype as this one. Interscope is going to try and make the most money they can off this album, which means ( probably anyways ) that you will get a LOT of promotion a couple months before and leading up to a release. Not just - "heres a single, buy this in 4 weeks". No, I believe that the first info you get on relapse 2, will probably be the real name of the album and a release date welllll before the album is released. 2-3 months before, with a single inbetween. And before an official statement is released, there comes rumors that flood the net for a week or so, so untill you start hearing some rumors from different sources that sound similar your still in the dark.

To sum it up, the first real thing we hear about relapse 2 will be 2-3 months before the shit drops. If a statement was released tomorrow...then I would believe a june release. But when april rolls around and you aint heard shit about it still...then july would be realistic.

Post is getting a bit too long, but I def. dont think a couple gigs in europe means a potential release date.

And a lil wayne video in march doesnt mean good marketting for relapse 2 either, if that was the case, you would have heard a little something something after the grammys

That's not completely true. Eminem announced Relapse's date March 5th or 6th whilest it came out May 19th. So it's still possible something will be said between now and April.

No YOU are reaching by suggesting three confirmed dates of him headlining three of the biggest festivals in fucking Europe is speculation and not indicate of anything lmao.

There is NO WAY he is going to headline 3 major festivals across the other side of the pond in July 2010 to perform fucking Relapse 1 tracks. He wouldn't leave his house to do a $15m movie in Detroit, you think he's going to fly half across the World to do tracks that will be over a year old when he knows full well everybody is waiting for Relapse 2. Don't be ridiculous.

So 'to sum up' - YES him booking those concerts DOES mean shit. It means a lot of shit. It means he's performing on foreign soil for the first time in 5 years, it means he will be performing Relapse 2 material, it means Relapse 2 has to come before July - It MEANS a fucking single SOON.

His camp never tells you about shit until it's right about the corner. Assume the single is in April with the album in May. You think they're going to spend the entirety of fucking March going "single next month, wait for it... Yep, still coming... In April, any moment now...". NO, they don't do that. They're gonna hold it as long as possible and announce the fucking thing a week or two before, at the last second, as always.

And now they've drained Refill bone dry they're gonna do some more clever marketing right at the last second again and then give you Relapse 2 right after. I hope EmBase is right too. I mean, Eminem has more than enough in terms of previous material to perform a set based on old songs at the three major festivals that have been mentioned, but I have to agree, I think its looking likely that he will use the festivals to (hopefully) perfom R2 songs. We'll just have to wait and see. I've also had more of a feeling recently that his next album will not actually be called Relapse 2, it just seems too much time has passed, and his direction has changed. Could be wrong though, Em's never really been to imaginative with album titles.
