Obviously those are either different people saying those two things, or idiots. So I don't think that counts.

yeah unfortunately there are some idiots complaining about em sayin relapse was eh...and as you see 55 % of 104 voters dont agree with em....they think that he shouldnt have said that because they believe that relapse was not Ehhhh

lol woah woah woah.. I wasn't saying people who say the album was ehh are idiots.. because it was ehh.

You claimed that some people complained about the album and then complained about Eminem himself saying it wasn't great.. that's what I was commenting on.

The idiots are the ones who think Relapse deserves the praise other Em albums do.. Lyricism is extremely important to me, but ANYONE can rap in sick multis when they have no content restrictions and just rap about rape and murder and serial killers.. Tracks like Deja Vu were good because they were packed with true to life content and still were lyrical.. which is hard to do.

because i believe....the accent on relapse pissed alot of people...and we people who complained about the accent on relapse are in a good position to complain, because it was really annoying....thats why we can not be idiots for complaining about somethin that was annoyin for many people.
but people who complain about em apologizing for his accent...i think its just stupid.
cuz he has the right to apologize for what he believes was wrong, and i believe he is right..puttin an annoyin accent in a come back album..was just wrong...see what i mean?
and i didnt even call anyone stupid,i was the one who talked about idiots or stupid ,check again the previous posts

Exactly, half this site are hypocritical as fuck.

All year I had to listen to people moaning about an accent that was on about 7 tracks on Relapse and the second I complain about a track I hear the classic:

"Take what your given, he's finished the celeb-bashing and stop complaining" from someone who probably cried their eyes out becuase Em changed his voice and style for a concept album.

"rape" and "murder" and "serial killers," (which are not mutually exclusive subjects, by the way), ARE a "content restriction." a fairly narrow one @ that.

everything in Relapse makes sense & the serial killer tracks stick to that concept, as played out as you might think it is. it is hard to write multis as good as the ones in Relapse.

really, the only thing i agree with in your post is "tracks like deja vu" are harder to do, because he's rapping about real events in his life, & hence rhyming consistently well is harder than fictional rhyming. but fictional writing with a narrow subject matter is still not easy. @ least, good fictional writing.

I wasn't saying that's the only things he talked about, but they are by no means narrow... He talks about naked mannequins.. umbrellas in pussies.. ridiculous shit is my point. Anyone can do that.

Edit: And some of it isn't even good writing... some.

but the random lines that don't relate to the subjects you listed (well, the umbrella line would come under rape...) are usually funny or witty in some way.

i'll give you the "naked mannequins" line. that was just stupid. in fact, i dislike 3AM altogether.

That umbrella line is my jam. :worship:

I'm willing to bet it was more a statement of "Recovery is gonna blow Relapse away" than it was an apology.. Either way it's a stupid thing to be upset about though.

le tunisien wrote:i personally agree with him that relapse was Ehhh cuz thats how i felt after listening to it the first time, its true it started growing on me...but still the accent ruined everything for me,also the content with his christopher reeve and gay rapes and murder shit, nothing was intresting to hear except for 2 songs maybe deja vu and Beautiful and some other songs,
so its true that the lyrics were insane with multies and all those stuffs were crazy but they didnt mean anything if they dont have a message,so in other words relapse's subject matter was not Good, the accent was lame at first when i heard it i felt like damn this aint the em i wanna hear,
and that is why
i consider relapse was ehhh and i definetly agree with em,also im glad that he dropped the accent..but i still dont understand why people are saying "oh why did em say relapse was eh man that album was great "or whatever...they just need to be realistic,ok you will tell me its a matter of personal preferences or opinion or whatever...but i think we all should agree relapse wasnt one of his best albums :y:

i agree completely. the accent was horrible and he used it on almost every song.
and yes the subject matter on some were just stupid. like the song "insane". i dont know what he was thinking with that song. it sounds like a shitty freestyle making fun of himself that he trough a hook on and called it a song. it wasnt a horrible album. i just think it was dissapointing because i was expecting better. i do like some of the songs like, Deja Vu was awsome, Hello and Same Song and Dance were catchy and Beautiful and Underground were great. but overall i thought the album was lacking compared to his earlier work.

Whoever thinks 50 Cent is dope shouldn't even judge Em's album.
