The idiots are the ones who think Relapse deserves the praise other Em albums do.. Lyricism is extremely important to me, but ANYONE can rap in sick multis when they have no content restrictions and just rap about rape and murder and serial killers.. Tracks like Deja Vu were good because they were packed with true to life content and still were lyrical.. which is hard to do.

All year I had to listen to people moaning about an accent that was on about 7 tracks on Relapse and the second I complain about a track I hear the classic:

"Take what your given, he's finished the celeb-bashing and stop complaining" from someone who probably cried their eyes out becuase Em changed his voice and style for a concept album.

"rape" and "murder" and "serial killers," (which are not mutually exclusive subjects, by the way), ARE a "content restriction." a fairly narrow one @ that.

everything in Relapse makes sense & the serial killer tracks stick to that concept, as played out as you might think it is. it is hard to write multis as good as the ones in Relapse.

really, the only thing i agree with in your post is "tracks like deja vu" are harder to do, because he's rapping about real events in his life, & hence rhyming consistently well is harder than fictional rhyming. but fictional writing with a narrow subject matter is still not easy. @ least, good fictional writing.

but the random lines that don't relate to the subjects you listed (well, the umbrella line would come under rape...) are usually funny or witty in some way.

i personally agree with him that relapse was Ehhh cuz thats how i felt after listening to it the first time,its true it started growing on me...but still the accent ruined everything for me,also the content with his christopher reeve and gay rapes and murder shit,nothing was intresting to hear except for 2 songs maybe deja vu and Beautiful and some other songs,
so its true that the lyrics were insane with multies and all those stuffs were crazy but they didnt mean anything if they dont have a message,so in other words relapse's subject matter was not Good,the accent was lame at first when i heard it i felt like damn this aint the em i wanna hear,
