To be honest comparing 2 great album's track by track is fuckin pointless.

But Since MMLP is unbeatable in my opinion MMLP > Recovery but Recovery > TES.

Yes im Double Minded. :shifty:

i'm not gonna do one of these as i already did one for TES, but it seems like the songs on Recovery are for the older audience and are more relatable...MMLP was strictly Marshall Mathers so if you didn't hate the world like him, you could only vibe to the music and not really be able to relate. Recovery seems to be Eminem touching on many different subjects and make more general songs that could appeal to different people in a variety of different ways. The fact MMLP is too personal is a reason I never got into it as much as I did with SSLP and TES even though it's still a terrific album. Just my opinion though.

I tend to agree with you for the most part.. well said. It definitely appeals to a much wider audience in terms of content.

The rest of you... Stop trying to compare these albums heads up... it shouldn't be done. Honestly in my opinion MMLP and TES were miles ahead of their time. They're two extraordinary albums for very different reasons. I personally cannot rank either of his albums 1st best and 2nd best... i just cant choose... One week i might think TES is his best... next week i might be vibing to MMLP ... week after that i may be rockin SSLP or even infinite(sometimes even encore!! or relapse!) Lets face it, even his WORST stuff is better than most rapper's best.

There are not many em songs that i can't go back and listen to and think 'wow'. That goes for all of his features, freestyles(8 mile freestyles also), mix tapes, diss songs.. everything.... I think theres maybe 2 songs i've ever heard that i didnt like ... i think that was 'fack' (Which was still funny as hell) and 'my balls' (again, still fukin funny shit)

As far as im concerned i can't really rate / rank his albums / songs in order... It all depends on my mood and how im feeling at the time... it always changes... im just glad he put out another album with classic material that i can go back and listen to for years to come .. (i still listen to relapse/refill songs to this day i.e. stay wide awake, same song and dance, deja vu, insane, my mom, elevator, drop the bomb on em are just a few that come to mind. Sometimes i even listen to songs from ENCORE :))

IF you're gunan compare at least do, in your view, best track vs best track, and so on and so forth on each album rather than the way there ordered.

stop doin this shit "track by track". it's retarded and proves nothing. if the best track on Recovery is in the same spot as the worst track on Marshall Mathers LP, then of course Recovery will take it. at least list them in greatest to worst (or worst to greatest) then compare.

also, how is everyone too lazy to type out a album name? these threads are filled with nothing but abbreviations. "i think that SSLP is cooler than MMLP because TES is cooler than CC and RU put together when compared to RLPS and RCVY. and only when the planets line up could MMLP be sweeter than TES and SSLP and SSEP and RLPS and RCVY and CC and RU and INFNT and ENCR." then you proceed to abbreviate song titles for further laziness. "TIC is way better than SGTH and WBD and NA and YNO and CWB and CAB and SWA and WK and TWIA and TRSS and MNI." like everyone is gonna remember what the hell they all stand for off the top of their head.

i didn't say those were difficult. i'm just sayin we all have the time to sit on this forum for hours but can't take the extra 5 seconds (at the most) to type an album name?

Well thats easy... You get pretty sick and tired of typing out 'the eminem show' or 'mashall mathers LP' four or five times in one post...

You act like ppl do it with every song.. I've seen it done with won't back down and love the way you lie.. That's pretty much it with the exception of a couple times.

And as for SSLP and MMLP, etc.. those are easy to get

HAAHHAHAHAH LOL

1. Kill you shits on cold wind blows so much..BLOOD GUTS GUNS CUTS, KNIVES WIVES NUNS SLUTS...game fucking over...did you hear that chorus too...my god...kill you :worship: :worship:

2. going through changes is REALLY good, but damn...

Came home, and somebody musta broke in the back window
and stole two loaded machine guns and both of my trenchcoats
Sick sick dreams of picnic scenes, two kids, sixteen
with M-16's and ten clips each
And them shits reach through six kids each
And Slim gets blamed in Bill Clint's speech to fix these streets?
FUCK THAT! PBBT! Tou faggots can vanish to volcanic ash
and re-appear in hell with a can of gas, AND a match
Aftermath, Dre, grab the gat, show 'em where it's at
(What the fuck you starin at,

it aint fuckin with that...

3. Im back is SOOOOO much better than not afraid i cant even get into it

So I just, throw up a middle finger and let it linger
longer than the rumor that I was stickin it to Christina
Cause if I ever stuck it to any singer in showbiz
it'd be Jennifer Lopez, and Puffy you know this!
I'm sorry Puff, but I don't give a fuck if this chick was my own mother
I still fuck her with no rubber and cum inside her
and have a son and a new brother at the same time
and just say that it ain't mine, what's my name?

4. No love might actually be better than drug ballad but even thats debatable
5. Amityvite (even with bizarre)>>>Space bound
6. Bitch please 2 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>cinderella man
So when you see me, dressin up like a nerd on TV
or heard the CD usin the fag word so freely
it's just me being me, here want me to tone it down?
Suck my fuckin dick, you faggot
You happy now? Look here

7. criminal being tied with 'almost famous' is a crime as well

Windows tinted on my ride when I drive in it
So when I rob a bank, run out and just dive in it
So I'll be disguised in it
And if anybody identifies the guy in it
I'll hide for five minutes
Come back, shoot the eyewitness
Fire at the private eye hired to pry in my business
Die, bitches, bastards, brats, pets
This puppy's lucky I didn't blast his ass yet

Come to think of it...PSA 2000 > SO bad, W.T.P., On Fire,
and belive me I LOVE RECOVERY

MMLP was just on some other shit...its been 10 years and i still listen to it every week
