Depends what critics you're talking about. If you're talking about the likes of allhiphop.com and hiphopdx then they gave it very positive reviews, but on the other hand the middle aged white men that reviewed it in national newspapers, well, most of them don't even like any post-80's rap so they pretty much shit on any new hip-hop record.

I dont mind the beat off WBD, but it does sound over-produced to me, and Khalil is capable of much better things

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XCEvmmk3 ... re=related

Saying that, aside from WBD I think Khalil gave Em some great beats, Talkin To Myself, 25 To Life and Almost Famous are all really good to me (my 3 favorite hooks on the album are from those songs too)

You're Never Over has probably the worst Just Blaze beat I've ever heard.

I can't remember any of the beats tbh, I remember really liking 25 To Life though.

25 To Life = my favorite song from the album. Beat, lyrics, flow, emotion, everything.

I do like CWB, but I can't listen to it without thinking of the beat from Deja Vu, or Jay-Z - Public Service Announcement, except its not as good as either of those

I'm Crack has a much better beat to me

hardcore hip-hop fans dont even like Recovery and say Em has fallen off..
some even say his voice is unbearable they cant even listen the whole way thru

And who are this hardcore hip-hop fans?

Guys with guns and bling-bling, I guess. Hardcorrerness of the fans is measured by the size of the chains on their necks. Is the bolded one even a word?
