I find Not Afraid corny as well, but I just can't muster up much ill will towards it. Or about him going on and on about his drug addiction. That's his reality, the drugs have defined him for many years and he talks about how it was and how he tries to stay away from that now.

And the addiction IMO wrecked him as an artist. He really did damage to his legacy in the 2003-2007/08 era. I'm glad that he's gaining back his focus and his sharpness. If I have to deal with the occasional psycho-speak and misguided motivational anthem, so be it. But then, I thought he had plenty of corny moments even in his peak years, so don't see this as such a big departure. Different strides etc.
