MMLP, his lyrics were incredible. Like someone said above, it is more of a raw hip hop album, and I think that's why it gets so much love

But I think The Eminem Show is a better album as a whole. It's very cohesive, the production is spectacular, it has the right balance of funny and serious songs (Recovery has a great blanace too, IMO) the lyrics are great too. His lyrics aren't really better on TES than on MMLP, but the delivery and flow is what makes this album great too. This is my favorite hip hop album ever, I still listen to it even today because it's just that good. My current obsession is the 3rd verse of My Dad's Gone Crazy, particularly from the beginning of the verse up to the "get struck by fuckin' lightning twice at once" part. I love that part
