Taylor Swift, you can suck a penis. Preferably mine. Can't believe that many people bought her cd. :facepalm

I still hope C4 tops this.

didn't amazon sell the digital download of "Speak Now" for $3.99? Does that effect the sales at all?

1 million :o hats off to taylor :worship:

if she has a less than 50% drop next week....eminem's chances of having best selling album will diminish big time

if you ask me she will sell more than em and have the best selling album....she will benifit from the hype of 1 mill sales and have small drops

how are her singles doing? do you guys think she will have a bigger hit than love the way you lie?

i dont really care about sales but i want to see Em win the best album at the grammys to make up for when mmlp lost.

none of her single this era was big at all, like I already "predicted", her million is the result of a genius marketing plan + dedicated country fanbase + dedicated tween girl fanbase + the album only leaked like 3 days before release. She was coming off a 6 millions-selling and highly-praised album, Em was coming off the highly bashed Relapse, there wasn't even that much buzz when Recovery got released cuz both NA & LTWYL started to take off AFTER first week

Recovery will still be the highest selling album of the year. You all do realize how many weeks are left in the year correct?

Eminem will finish with between 3.2-3.3 Million. Swift will finish between 3.0-3.1 Million.

Edit:

Also, for the people making the argument if Speak Now was released in 2000 it would have topped MMLP or whatever. Save your breath. The music climate changes a lot. What sells a lot now would not necessarily sell a lot in 2000 and what sold a lot in 2000 (N'Sync) wouldnt sell what it did then today in 2010, cause boy bands are out.

So just keep that in mind. Basically 1,000,000 is tough to do in one week regardless what year it is, so props to Taylor.

Last year Em was close to having Best Selling Album/Best First Week of the year till that lady came from no where and took the post. Now Taylor Swift does (ok, is on the way of doing) it again. If Em really cared about sales, he'd relapse lol

i highly doubt Taylor will have longevity, she doesn't have a smashing hit like Recovery did to keep consistent. All of her songs are dropping on itunes not rising. in another week or 2 the buzz around Taylor will die out.
But I'll never say the 'L' word again...

if she dropped in january or june she won't probably have longevity due to lack of hits, BUT it's closing to holiday time and the rise of sales in 4th quarter will automatically help her sale's longevity. Damn she can't choose a better time to drop the album. Taylor's team = :worship:
