Apple Inc Vs. Microsoft Corporation

For me... Microsoft is dependable in a company set-up or something. Most of their software is user friendly, professional looking, has loads of affordable accessories and back-up and is compatible with LOADS of applications/ software programs/ development shit. Experienced execution.

But, after buying an HP laptop with Windows on it... i realise its not zany/crazy/creative enough. Apple is more cutting edge. Fun to use, great to share. Its gonna be better than Microsoft in more than just quarterly profits soon coz it seems to develop faster.

I'm typing this from my iMac so I guess my answer is clear, Apple. I agree that Apple is overpriced, but to me it's a great brand for the creative industry. If you don't plan to use it for work then you might as well buy a PC.

I love this thing though, it's so fast, reliable and virus free. I love how I'm able to multitask everything without the least bit of lag.

This is a complicated question, because they both have major pros and cons.

PC/Microsoft is the best for high powered gaming or studio machines. You can't "game" on a Mac, and Macs just don't have the capacity to run games to begin with (which is why gaming companies normally don't bother). Are Macs fast? Yes. Are they faster than PCs? For processing power alone... occasionally when the task is simple, but when it comes to graphic processing, Mac is quite a bit behind Microsoft, but that's because they don't need gaming on their list of pros (I'm sure Apple could produce a crazy gaming PC, but for what? Sims?).

Macs on the other hand are the best for the "college-minded" person, the graphics designer, instrumental producer, writer, editor, Internet savvy, and so on... It has more instant speed for quickly alternating programs and is much easier to use.

@Maybe.....In 2 months time i will be applying for college so i want to buy a new computer and some of my friends kept throwing pros and cons for both apple and microsoft at me so i got confused.

But since so many of you said apple is better for school (so did some reviewers) then i am gonna go with Apple.
I really don't care about gaming on a computer that much.

Well, in that case, get a macbook pro. It's more expensive, but they last forever as far as stats go. The new ones are considered some of the best laptops around now.

I've always lived off PCs just because they are cheaper and more accessible over here; it's much easier to buy a PC than to buy a Mac. That said, if I had the choice I would probably buy an Apple one just because I mainly only use my computer for making music and going on the Internet.

Apple products are known for their user friendliness. They are ready to use straight out of the box, everything is far more organized and the design is innovative yet simple. Microsoft computers are in fact harder to operate and maintain, but when you are good with computers you can build great (and for more powerful) computers for less money. The downside about let's say the iMac is that you can't upgrade it. If you just want a computer that works without any bullshit though, a mac is a better solution.

Even though gaming on a mac computer is definitely possible (even steam is on Mac now), it's just not that good on a mac. Like Maybe already said, it's not used for that purpose either.
