If you ask me, that whole "gun rapper", "gangsta rap" name calling bullshit is played out. Rap is filled with violent lyrics, only rapper that I'd consider a "gun rapper" though is Royce. And without gangsta rap, rap would be soft as fuck, and I don't think many people understand how important gangsta rap is to hip hop.

@ MC - What's your fav Royce songs? top 5.

I don't have any problem with people labeling something as gangsta or gun rapper, so long as they don't trash it ignorantly. I hate presumptious assholes that always rave on about how alternative is so much better and creative, when I could easily trash that subgenre, whilst being oblvious to the many shades of "gangsta"rap, thinking it's noting but bitches, money, and gunz but aren't even aware of albums like A Prince Among Thieves. Or that many "gangsta" rappers have a socioploitical message or deep underlying theme in their message, while being cathartically aggressive, depressing, bombastic, etc. Really the whole negative stereotype towards gangsta rap pisses me off, though guys like 50 cent don't exactly help it's image, same for Eminem at times, that w igger. :shifty:

btw I agree with the first line of your sig.

@ Satire we have completely different music tastes, he loves De La Soul, Outkast, and The Beastie Boys, and his favorite album is Done By The Forces of Nature. Only acts we really share in common are Wu Tang and The Roots.

Would you ever do something like this (Go further into the pages to see his explanations)?

http://www.studioleaks.info/forums/show ... php?t=6047

Including the controversial Eminem placement that would have an impact amplified x 7 on this forum.

Me/you/class/Block and anyone else that doesn't believe Em is the goat have to chip in one of these days to make a list like that and make a huge storm in the Em section (not shady chit chat, which is for pussies).

I've actually thought about it but how would we decide who's number 1?

Like I said to Venom, WPG is super-mega-duper cool but no. He's like me if my insightful side didn't have an off-button and didn't type as much.

I dare you to that. The Few True Villains are gonna be on the opposing side is you guys say he is NOT the GOAT. Plus, we got the B-class debators such as myself, Menzo & Trigger. Then, we got a bunch of Stans who are there for emotional support.

Automatic loss for Clockdicktire.

I really don't care who's number one so long as Eminem is in post top 20, loll. Nas/Slug/Sadistik/Lupe/Black Thought/Mos Def etc. are all good candidates I guess.

And I only thought he was you cause of the eeirly similar taste.

The point wouldn't be to even debate. It would be to get everybody mad, so if everyone really did show up like that mission successful I guess.

class & Block would probably still go out shooting though.

I'm not even joking about that. I find anime much more creative than movies. And as for creativity, view and entertainment, I'd much rather watch an anime than a movie, because it looks much more appealing. And because it's fiction it's much more interesting to watch cause the story can take you anywhere, and you can visual things you'll never see in real life. Where as if a movie tried to do that or be creative at it's finest peak, it would require more graphics than actual story. And at the end of the day, you can't really argue with the fact that it's "fake". Where as an animation lets you see television entertainment at it's fullest potential cause you already know it's fake, so you don't expect anything real, you're more focused on the actual content and the story. I hate watching movies and then some ignorant cunt comes along and says "oh that's fake"...

And I couldn't agree more about gangsta rap. I think people from the eastcoast and westcoast much rather welcome gangsta rap with open arms. You never really here people from New York or LA complain about gangsta rap, it's usually the people who don't witness that "street" lifestyle that don't like gangsta rap much. But I do agree, sick of that shit. And that's pretty much exactly why I like gangsta rap, it feels much more passionate talking about their lifestyles because they've gone through shit. If it's message isn't strong, it's spam, no one want's to check that shit.

Nice list man, I agree for the most part. I'm just too tired to write a list atm. I'll def make one though. There was a time (probably like 2 years ago) I was incredibly hooked to Royce. I used to hate Royce when I first heard him, I thought his voice was annoying as fuck and it used to hurt my eyes, but for some odd reason as soon as I started listening to him, I forgot and lost all the reasons I hated him for. :worship: @ Hip Hop being number 1.

I haven't watched any of the movies yet. Should I? I thought I was too early in to watch any of the movies but I'm guessing I should?

Yeah it kind is, it'll spoil it somewhat though, I haven't watched it either. At least watch the trailer, or the prequel to it, it gives the backstory to OP.

I'd love for them to make a dub of that, but it probably won't happen for a while.

Cool, no worries. I'll download all the movies tomorrow though lol. I'll probably watch the first few unless it's too deep in to the story. And fuck dubs, motherfuckers got me hooked to that shit and now they got me reading shit. I figured fuck it, if people are reading mangas than fuck my complaining bitch ass, a little reading won't hurt. Plus fuck waiting a decade for them to dub everything (what slow sons of bitches though). Anyways bruh, sorry for having to sabotage your thread with my bullshit haha. I'm about to go sleep, when I fucking have work in like an hour. Fuck a work though, work my ass. Sleeping in till fuck knows. :smoking: :smoking: :smoking: :smoking:

Peace out.
