Well I'm sure part of the reason is because he feels he doesn't want people to get sick of him. He's been conscious of that since day one, and the element of surprise and making people want more / wait for new material has always been a crucial element to his success.

Another reason is probably that he and Paul obviously like to keep up his image of professionalism and mystique, and him just putting out tracks or mixtapes is a little amateurish. Clearly they like to make releases from him an event, and anything less cheapens it.

But yes it is very annoying especially considering the fact he says he records five days a week. I mean, would it kill him to put out even a new freestyle every month? imagine something like "Despicable" every now and then, I'm sure he could write 100 of them with his eyes closed.

That's the whole point. You see creatively he's very active and writes all the time, probably records some of his writings just to keep his voice in shape.

There might be songs that he feels that are dope and he might keep for further use. Plus there might be songs that he ain't feeling that much, he must release those songs that he feels are Avg.

Being a perfectionist that he is, he know what's good and what's bad. So releasing atleast 3-4 Songs a month wont do any harm. He can keep the best in his stock.

I think Tech is dope but his stuff gets boring for me just cuz there is sooo much of it released. Could you imagine someone who just becomes a Tech fan now and wants to hear the discography? By the time they finish, Tech's released twice as much stuff lol

Yeah I know, I'm actually kinda disappointed Em and Royce didn't do a Westwood freestyle to promote H:TS this year, it was in the perfect season...I guess it shows they didn't really care that much about it.

Had this been a full length LP, they would have probably done it.

That's why I was so happy, not only because we got to hear never before, never would of been released Eminem music, but because we got some music to bump before Hell The Sequel came out. Now if Slaughterhouse can put out their album & gage us for awhile & D12 as well, until Em puts out an album, that'll do.

He's not retired, even though he obviously could have years ago. He's still a rapper, and rappers make music. What keeps Em from writing 32 bars, digging into his endless supply of beats, recording it, and uploading it somewhere?

Isn't that the point Menzo? He has stacks of lyrics. I'm not suggesting it would be easy for Em to just release music, but it's by no means difficult: and definitely not a case of him lacking the tracks to release.

Here's a good example of his use of lyric sheets recently: the repeated features of people like Michael Vick. If you listen to all the mentions of Vick, it's clear that they are most likely from a brain-storming rhyming session of 'Mike Vick'. The recent cypher is a good example. The Real Slim Shady perhaps the best example of the use of his lyric sheets.

He has the capacity to make a rap easily.
