"Dumbing down" is the worst thing I've heard.
Man, just write some bars and lay it over a beat!
I wanted an album so rugged nobody could touch it.
Spent a million a track and went over my budget.
Now how in the fuck am I supposed to get out of debt?
I can't rap anymore, I just murdered the alphabet.

It's not THAT bad of a song. And I told you guys when the song dropped that the beat was good and you guys thought that sucked too. Take SH's lyrics and put them on a dark beat and you'd think it was good, even though it's the same thing. Did you guys know Crooked I did a freestyle to an Owl City beat before? Did he "sell out" then?

If you like "Throw It Away," good for you. I'm not going to try to convince you it's bad.

But your reasoning here makes no sense.

1. The majority of complaints were about the hook and shitty lyrics, not the beat, which is okay. (Although it IS built around on an old sample, that producers such as Dilla and rappers such as Ghostface Killah, have already made great songs out of.)

2. A lot of people think SH's lyrics are weak on "Throw It Away." If you put them on a better beat, like "Shook Ones" or whatever, that wouldn't make them sound better. If anything, they'd sound worse. They're still the same weak lyrics.

3. Who cares if Crooked I freestyled to a pop beat? What does that have to do with anything? Freestyling to a random pop beat isn't "selling out." Making a wannabe T.I. single with dumbed down, weak lyrics, and a desperately pandering hook, is "selling out."

To be clear, I have no problem with Slaughterhouse "selling out," assuming "selling out" means they get compensated well for their talent. I just wish they'd "sell out" with better songs. Kanye & Jay-Z "sell out" by making awesome singles like "Power," "Empire State of Mind" and "N-ggas In Paris."

But don't get a lukewarm reception on "Throw It Away" twisted. People thought "My Life" was kinda dope, and we'll all listen / buy the album with an open mind. I doubt "Throw It Away" will even be on it; the shitty feedback it got online absolutely matters to record labels. And I would be shocked if they actually made a video.

Slaughterhouse will be on Rapfix Live on Wednesday at 4 pm EST on mtv.com

Slaughterhouse will be joining host Sway Calloway on the new "RapFix" set this week to talk about their upcoming major-label debut, Welcome to: Our House, their impeccable chemistry and what it was like working with Eminem in the studio.

I had to laugh at "impeccable chemistry".
