i don't get why everybody is hating so much on encore. sure there are songs like my 1st single or ass like that, but you also got alot of classics imo. you've got 4, 5-star songs. you got a few 4 star verses some ok songs and of course the shitty ones. but the production is much much better than, lets say recovery. on encore there is ont one beat that is actually bad, besides my 1st single. on recovery you've got alot of bad beats, or more fitting, beats that dont fit to the song or his style. if i were to compare those 2 albums i would say that encore has a better production and recovery has better lyrics.

Spend Some Time
Mockingbird
Crazy in Love

then it ends on a shitty note

One Shot 2 Shot
Encore
We As a Americans

even though Encore has a dope beat

I actually consider We As Americans in the top 5 songs on Encore though.

yeah, we as americans is definitely in the top 5.

crazy in love is actually also one of the best songs imo. his flow and the second verse :flutter:
spend some time has one of his best verses ever, but the song is ok like you said

I used to think Encore was trash, then sat down and really examined it a year or two ago. Take away the middle section and Encore isn't that bad. That being said, I still rate it as the worst Eminem album.

Never Enough, Yellow Brick Road, Like Toy Soldiers, Mosh, Spend Some Time and Mockingbird are the only songs I like. Encore and One Shot Two Shot were two great wasted beats.
Fuck top five, bitch, I'm top four
And that includes Biggie and Pac, whore
And I got an Evil Twin

I honestly find it better then recovery. I don't listen to recovery at all. encore has over half a dozen songs which I listen to on the regular. songs like, yellow brick road, love you more, we as americans, crazy in love, rainman, mocking bird and encore.

Evil Deeds is a cool song and is decent for Encore standards.

The song, however, contains the worst Eminem lyric of all time and it makes me baffled everytime I hear it. Ruins the song almost completely for me because it's so ridiculous.

Wait a minute, shit, don't answer that - why am I so misunderstood?
Why do I go through so much bullshit, it's such bullshit, it's tush mull bish

Certainly a line where his drug use was present and it's blatantly obvious.

In a funny way I think Encore was a classic. But let me explain. I don't think the quality of the individual song were great. But overall the album was very memorable. It is discernably considered his worst album. Because of that, it's a big part of his history. It brings back Proof, it was the start of a 4 1/2 year depession. It highlighted a lot of stuff and when we look back at Eminem, Encore is not forgotten.

Havng said that, the album did give off a weird vibe. I remember listening to it for the first time and after done, I felt like I was in the twilight zone. I asked myself, what did i just listen to? Why would Eminem make this album? And the album was a sort of depressing and gloomy album. Eminem's heart wasn't in it, there weren't a whole lot of upbeat songs, and the whole thing was lackluster overall. Furthermore, the finale song with Dre just added more of a weird vibe. In a way, Eminem made the album like that on purpose. He was sending a message to his fans, that he would be gone for a while. There is no way how he could have made songs like Weenie and Ass Like That if he were really trying. But if he included the 3 bonus sngs and took out his 3 worst songs, then it would have been an okay album.

I haven't listened to this album as a whole for a very long time, I will have to soon. I've always liked 'Like Toy Soldiers', 'Mockingbird', 'Rain Man' and 'Yellow Brick Road' the rest of the album is mostly forgettable for me. Will have to give it another listen though.

The whole Encore era was just a big mindfuck. One of the biggest stains of crap in the history of hip-hop.

I just got done listening to "Like Toy Soldiers", and am currently listening to "Mockingbird", and I'm just like Image

I honestly don't know how I feel about this album after all these years. Yes, I know it's terrible, but it just gives off such a weird vibe and weird feelings... I just can't think of a perfecter way to word it...

How do you know he was on drugs all fukkd up when he made this album?

and I seriously think you need to re-evaluate that you think this album is 1 of the "biggest stains of crap" in the history of hip-hop.... stfu please.
