I disagree, I know what you're saying and here's the thing; his genuinely 'funny' stuff never made me actually sit and giggle either but it was funny, like, at the core.

I mean, in literary terms, the ideas and the structure... Gervais summed it up best but, wow no... his best stuff, with comic elements, really is brilliant.

"a premature birth that was four minutes late" - lines like that have such a left-field, bizarro comic brilliance to them; there's attitude in it, it's self-deprecating, it fucks with logic a bit, it's self-aware; at his best, Em is a brilliant comedic mind.

I can respect if you find that funny i won't say there hasn't been interviews where i never found him funny but mostly just interviews. Like Arnold from Diffrent STrokes to me was funny naturally i know that's acting and this music but just giving you an idea of what i like

But I don't find it funny in the sense I sit and laugh at it, I just appreciate its comic structure, it's like a really witty idea with a comic element to it. I just appreciate it.

Eminem was very witty back in the early 2000's.

And I don't have herpes, my dick's just itchin
It's not syphilis, and as for being AIDS infested
I don't know yet, I'm too scared to get tested

That's fantastic. One of the main things I miss in his music atm.

Yeah, that's not the greatest example. To me at least. But yeah, he used to have that wit. I think he might be getting it back. Hard to judge though.

That was brilliant and a very funny line.

Again, I'm not sitting there cracking up. But earlier in the verse he has these lines.

"But they love it when you make your business public
So fuck it, I've got herpes while we on the subject
And if I told you I had AIDS y'all would play it
Cause you stupid motherfuckers think I'm playin when I say it"

and then ends with the lines Accor posted. Great example of his wit / humour / brilliance.
I'm not tryin to be rude, but I sincerely wanna fuck the taste out of your mouth

I have to disagree. The song was blatantly bitten from an 80's band called 'The Scorpions'. Eminem's lyrics don't reflect his drug abuse or his mother's ill intent, so they obviously weren't even written by Marshall.

Furthermore, somewhere in the middle of the track Eminem goes on to say:

Some of us don't get a second chance

which has been used numerous times before Mr. Mathers decided to sink his nasty little, crack-stained teeth in to it.

It is actually so great to listen to if you ignore the words and listen to the vibe of the song :p

Aren't you that same dude who tried to claim Eminem's lyrics were written by a middle-aged man?

Dr. Dre is a middle aged man. I'm sure by now that they are written by even more people who have meticulously studied his style and developed a system of delivering the worst possible music available. It's no secret that 'Eminem's' style has changed drastically since the 90's. Do you mean to tell me that ONE MAN could do that? You're beyond retarded if you honestly believe that hype.

'Eminem' is the biggest troll the world has ever seen. His music is like the presidency. Eminem is the face of the infrastructure, but he is almost powerless. He and 'his' lyrics are run by everyone controlling the strings behind the curtains. Marshall Mathers has no control over what comes out of his mouth. Even so, his writers still bit 80s hair bands.

^ man just since college I've changed so much, from hs to college I changed drastically, from a year ago i changed drastically. People change based on their life experiences and what they see and hear around them, because people around them and the world around them changes drastically. It's not even close to far-fetched for someone to change, and tbh I think the fact you find it so hard to believe someone could change over a 13 year career is ridiculous, but thats just my opinion.

I remain a skeptic. I am completely unconvinced that anything you've just posted is remotely close to the realm of truth. You see, when a dolphin sheds its skin it doesn't completely lose contact with its former self. The cycle of the ocean is an abundance of idiosyncrasies that can only co-exist through constant change and repetition of self and past events. If Marshall (or you) were to take part in the change of this cyclic motion, surely one (or both) of you would come out completely unscathed; while the other remained a tattered, dilapidated image of his former self.

One cannot simply bring change through pennies and dimes. An artist cannot simply change his pants and become a totally different persona. A slug is a snail without a shell.

It definitely is... I was wondering what would it be with a different type of hook but at the end of the day it's fuckin' great anyway.
